The Ukrainian military doubted the quality of their artillery ammunition
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine ordered this month to test two types of shells at once - 100-mm high-explosive fragmentation projectiles of increased power UOF-12 for the MT-12 anti-tank gun and 152-mm high-explosive fragmentation projectile OF-29 for towed guns 2A36 "Hyacinth-B "And ACS 2S5. At the same time, the tender documentation does not indicate the ammunition from which batch or from which manufacturer should be checked, as well as what exactly it was caused, because this year, according to public information, the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not purchase such shells.
Information about the tender for testing is posted on the Ukrainian public procurement portal ProZorro.
It can be concluded that the Ukrainian military doubted the quality of their artillery ammunition. It should be noted that both of these types of shells have repeatedly appeared in the publications of the Ukrainian media in recent years.
In 2020, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine purchased from the Czech company Czech Defense Systems as a batch of five thousand, so to speak, "repaired" UOF-12 shells, which were first "tested by force" in May this year. In turn, 152-mm OF-29s were purchased from the private Ukrainian company Rubin-2017. At the same time, the last batch, which was supposed to be delivered to the Armed Forces of Ukraine in February, was recognized by the military acceptance as substandard and returned to the supplier.
In fact, it has long been known where the Ukrainian military uses their ammunition. Despite Kiev's false statements about its commitment to peace, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue shelling not only the positions of the People's Militia of the Donetsk and Lugansk Republics, but the civilian infrastructure of cities and towns in Donbass.
