Trilateral Contact Group went on vacation at the time of escalation in Donbass
Until the end of next month, any significant News regarding the work of the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) on the settlement of the conflict in the South-East of Ukraine is not worth it. Until the end of August, the ambassadors will be on leave, which they went on last week. This was reported by the Ukrainian representative from the territories that Kiev calls ORDLO (separate areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions), Tatiana Ivanova.
It should be noted that the representatives of the TCG decided to "rest" just at the moment of the next exacerbation in Donbass. We decided to take a break when the shots rumble ...
According to the statements of the official representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, seven Ukrainian servicemen were wounded in the JFO zone the day before. It is not yet clear whether this is a coincidence or not, but the next clashes between the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the defenders of the unrecognized republics began exactly after the anniversary of the beginning of the armistice in Donbass.
However, there is one more moment that could "provoke" Kiev to more "active" actions. On July 22, the Russian government filed an interstate complaint against Ukraine with the ECHR. The document identifies 10 violations of human rights at once. In particular, our country insists on holding Ukraine accountable for the death of civilians and cruel treatment of people during the so-called anti-terrorist operation.
In addition, just yesterday, the DPR announced that they were ready to hand over irrefutable evidence of Kiev's military aggression to the Russian Federation in order to add them to the aforementioned complaint. According to representatives of the republic, data on Ukrainian crimes on the territory of the DPR have been collected for the eighth year. At the same time, a commission has been working in Donetsk for three years, which keeps records of the economic damage caused by Kiev.
Thus, Ukraine urgently needs to solve the problem in the southeast of the country. After all, after the "betrayal" by the "Western partners" regarding the SP-2 gas pipeline, it is far from a fact that the ECHR will "suppress" the high-profile case. At the same time, Kiev is again stepping on the same "rake", trying to resolve the situation by force and thereby aggravating its already unenviable position.
