Georgian troops use Didgori armored vehicles in Agile Spirit exercise
The annual military exercises of NATO and the allied countries Agile Spirit, which means "Agile spirit", started in Georgia today. They will be attended by 2,5 servicemen from 15 states, of which 900 people represent the Georgian Armed Forces.

For the exercise, the US military delivered equipment by sea from Romania and by air from Germany.
For the first time in all history In the Agile Spirit-2021 exercise, which has been held since 2011, the Georgian troops are using domestically produced Didgori armored vehicles. Two versions of this armored car will take part in the exercise: "Meomari" and "Medevac".
Didgori Meomari presents a 120 mm self-propelled mortar. This armored vehicle, like its other modifications, is based on the Ford Super Duty pickup truck. The body is equipped with four doors. The crew of the armored car includes a commander, a driver and three soldiers who make up the calculation of the mortar. The armored vehicle is armed with a Spanish-made 120-mm Alakran mortar installation with a modified guidance system.
Also, other weapons can be installed on the armored personnel carrier: a machine gun, an automatic grenade launcher or an ATGM.
Didgori Medevak is a medical armored vehicle.
All modifications of this technique are protected by armor consisting of angled steel plates. It protects the crew and troops from shrapnel and small arms. weapons... Particular attention is paid to the protection of the bottom from mines. Therefore, three layers of armor are installed there.
The windshield is bulletproof.
