Indian TV: India has deployed about 15 thousand troops to the border with China
On one of the channels of Indian television, a report was released, which tells about the deployment of a military contingent in the area of disputed territories on the border with China. The India Today channel, citing sources in the military circles, reports that in total, India has deployed about 15 troops to the Ladakh region.
From a report on Indian TV:
The report says that the base is deployed in the area of the Indian settlement of Leh and is part of the 14th Army Corps of the Indian Armed Forces.
In addition, it is noted that the strength of the 17th Army Corps, which also performs tasks in the Ladakh region, has been replenished.
Thus, Indian reporters themselves refute the information that the main forces of the Indian army have been withdrawn from the Ladakh region along with military equipment. Recall that in India, China is often accused of violating agreements on the withdrawal of forces and assets. However, to all appearances, both parties are in no hurry to implement the agreements that have been reached for a long time.
It is worth recalling that the situation on the border between India and China has become sharply complicated due to clashes between the Indian and Chinese military. Then stones, sticks and pointed metal rods were used. In the press, that skirmish was called an example of how a nuclear war can flare up because of a thrown stone.
