The decree on changes in the flags of the Russian Navy was signed by President Putin
It became known about the innovation carried out by Russian President Vladimir Putin in relation to the symbols of the Naval fleet Russia. On the eve of the Day of the Navy, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief signed a decree concerning the order and guards flags of the fleet.
So, the document contains information that instead of placing the order in the upper left corner of the cloth, now this placement will be carried out in the center of the flag. The center in this case is defined as a cross - the center of the St.Andrew's Cross.
The relative sizes of the flags are also regulated. The approved regulations are as follows: one to three as the ratio of the width to the length of the panel.
In addition, it is noted that the flags of the Russian Navy on ships should under no circumstances be lowered in front of the enemy, since they are the personification of the valor, glory and military traditions of the Russian fleet.

The new presidential decree comes into legal force from the moment of its publication - that is, from today, July 23rd.
Let's remind that on the next Sunday, July 25, Russia celebrates the Day of the Navy. The holiday is fixed for the last Sunday of July.
