By the end of the 1980s in the USSR, there was a need for a sniper weapons, which would be distinguished by relatively small dimensions, and, most importantly, noiselessness (or low noise) when firing. For ordinary army units, the silence of a sniper weapon is, of course, an important component. But in this case, this version of the sniper rifle was "ordered" primarily for special forces.
The Vintorez sniper rifle was developed under the guidance of the outstanding weapon designer Pyotr Ivanovich Serdyukov.
Peter Serdyukov won the State Prize of Russia for his remarkable developments. This event happened in 1993.
The Lazarev Tactical channel tells the details of how the development of a silent sniper weapon - VSS Vintorez - was carried out at one time. At the same time, the plot presents the story of the developer himself - Peter Serdyukov. The gunsmith talks about how the problems that were associated with requests for sniper weapons by special forces were solved.
The plot tells about the use of cartridges for this weapon, about other "trunks", the developer of which is Peter Serdyukov.
