At the parade for the 100th anniversary of the CPC, J-20 fighters with Russian engines flew by, they did not dare to use the Chinese WS-15 again
In the PRC, a large-scale air parade with the participation of J-20 stealth aircraft and other equipment took place over the Tiananmen metropolitan square on the centenary of the founding of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). It was attended by 71 units aviation domestically produced equipment, which means 7-1, that is, the first of July.
The air parade was reported by the Chinese newspaper Global Times.
Residents and guests of the capital of the PRC could observe the figure 100 in the sky, composed of flying military aircraft. Red flags fluttered on the helicopters, and plumes of colored smoke trailed behind the fighters.
The highlight of the show was the participation of 15 modern Chinese J-20 stealth fighters. Such a large group of these aircraft was demonstrated for the first time. The J-20 is considered a fifth generation fighter. And although this is a completely Chinese development, these aircraft are equipped with Russian AL-31FN engines. Again, they did not dare to use aircraft with engines of their own design in the parade. This is despite the fact that earlier in China, the media rushed to announce that a fullerene nanocoating has been created in the country, which will solve the problems with a drop in the thrust of WS-15 engines when they reach operating temperatures. Then it turned out that there was a new problem - the overconsumption of fuel on the Chinese WS-15, which should become the basis for the J-20.
Despite the importance of the event, the organizers decided not to organize a crowded event and a parade of ground military equipment. We limited ourselves to a group of officers who marched in formation along the main square of the country. President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping spoke from the rostrum. In his speech, he promised to continue to increase the size of the country's Armed Forces, and also announced that Taiwan would be returned to China.
