Iran plans to conduct large-scale exercises in September-October with the participation of all means of air defense of the army and the "Guardians of the Islamic Revolution" Corps

Iran will hold next month on the Muslim calendar (September 22 - October 21) major maneuvers of the air defense forces with the participation of the army units and the Corps of Islamic Revolutionary Guards (IRGC). This was announced today by the Iranian English-language television channel Press TV.

"During the exercises, all the air defense systems of the Iranian army and the IRGC will be deployed," the brigade general Farzad Ismaili, commander of the air defense systems of the Khatam al-Anbiya base, said in this connection. The purpose of the exercise is to train personnel for action in a crisis situation, he added.

Iran in late August announced the introduction of a radar system capable of tracking the movements of American unmanned aerial vehicles in the region. "Our country has special radars that can locate drones United States, - said the commander of the northeastern air defense district of the Islamic Republic, Abdullah Reshadi. “If necessary, they will be destroyed by air defense systems.”

4 December last year, local sources reported that the Iranian air defense forces shot down an American RQ-170 "Sentinel" type UAV, which violated the airspace of the republic from the east. Later, information appeared that the drone was not shot down, and Iranian services intercepted its control, after which they forced them to land in the desert of Tabas in the south-east of the country, about 250 km from the border with Afghanistan.

In early July, the IRGC held a three-day military exercise, Payambara Azam Haft (Great Prophet - 7), during which missiles of long, medium and short range were launched. According to the Aerospace Corps Command, Iran has missiles with a range of up to 2000 km.

IRNA - The head of the Khatam al-Anbiya air defense base in Iran announced the holding of joint anti-aircraft exercises of the army and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in the near future. Brigadier General Farzad Ismaili, in an interview with reporters, noted that the policy of the main air defense base in the country provides for independent anti-aircraft exercises in different regions of the country, and then general exercises under the command of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces. According to General Ismaily, the latest air defense systems and means of the army and the IRGC, including interceptor fighters, will be involved in these exercises.
    I wonder what it is?
What do you think, if Iran fights against the West, what are the parties' chances?

Iran shows that it is ready for any development of the situation. But who is the first to cross the red line? - time will tell.

All the jackals flock all the same bite. Although a couple of skins Iran can rip off. Here the question is different, Russia and China will intercede. If we start supplying modern air defense systems through the Caspian, then in my opinion the Americans have no chance. Get stuck in the slightest pogo with huge losses. Iran, of course, will also be hammered into the Stone Age, but all the same, it will have to diverge beautifully without a winner.

If Iran’s air defense can bring down 30-50 aircraft and 200-300 enemy missiles, then the West will have to make concessions, because the Western coalition will not dare to ground operation, and will not allow it to lose expensive aircraft and missiles further.

But is there a threat of retaliation against Israel as a result of this? Will they not feel the power?

All this is not good. Not just like that. Against the backdrop of Israeli statements about an attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities.

The Persians are preparing for war, the Little Middle East will probably end with a redivision of the world. They do not think they have a lot of chances to resist, but it decently suits the people.

the best for Iran's air defense is our "tor" and "beech" but only in combination; they will start a blow from the Persian Gulf and most likely will bring down their blunt "axes" (article 1.5 million) here the "beech" has to work with its radar it will work out (of course it will change position all the time) Jews will hardly risk their carrier-based aircraft ( article one F-18 about 55 lemons) the main focus for air defense mobility because hospitals will be destroyed first

Do not forget about several dozens or hundreds of UAVs that will illuminate air defense, die, but have time to direct tomahawks ...

It will be interesting if Iran, in addition to the deterrent air defense and naval operations in the strait, conducts an asymmetric air and missile attack on a number of non-military targets: desalination plants in Saudi Arabia, they seem to be there, (by the way, the Yankees are drinking this water in the desert at their occupation bases), not to mention the oil pipelines - with one successful blow you can light the oil desert for several years like a torch and raise oil prices to a historic maximum, with all the ensuing consequences.

The experience of recent wars clearly shows that passive defense is fraught with defeat. With rational counterattacks on selective targets, the result can be very unpredictable for the States and their satellites. Iran voiced its readiness for decisive resistance and, I think, in case of conflict, it will demonstrate in practice. The question of success lies in the plan of defense and means of influencing the enemy - but here I am no longer clairvoyant soldier
