Helicopter Mi-8 of the Russian Guard crashed in the Leningrad region

In the Leningrad region, a Mi-8 helicopter belonging to the Russian Guard crashed, all on board were killed. This was reported by the press service of the Northwestern District of the Russian Guard.
According to reports, the helicopter crashed near the village of Korpikyulya, Gatchinsky District, Leningrad Region, between Krasnoselsky Highway and the Gatchina-Pavlovsk road. There are no damage to houses on the ground, civilians were not injured. After the fall, the Mi-8 caught fire and cannot be restored. The crew of 3 people was killed.

According to the Rosgvardia, the helicopter was on a training flight, and there was no weapon on board. At the moment, the reasons for the fall are unknown. Firefighters arrived at the crash site, the helicopter fire was extinguished. The crash site is cordoned off, the police, representatives of the Investigative Committee, Rosgvardia are working. The reasons for the incident will be determined by a special commission.
According to images distributed on social networks, the helicopter crashed into a field. The emergency services of the region confirmed the arrival of a message about the fall of the helicopter at 20:30.
