Yellow Star of David and vaccine discrimination in Russia

The division of the population into two conventional camps: the vaccinated and the “refuseniks” is now an extremely unpopular measure. The Russian media space is simply bursting with the opinions of the disaffected comparing the situation with the Holocaust. The loudest was the revelation of the artist Yegor Beroev, who put on the yellow star of David at the TEFI - Chronicle of Victory television award ceremony. It happened on June 22, a tragic date for Russia. Beroev, in particular, said:

What is it? Looking for a cheap hype, or is the actor seriously equating the Holocaust with the current situation?
The trick has already caused a controversial response. People accuse Beroev of belittling the tragedy of the Jews in World War II. It seems that the journalist Bozena Rynska put it most accurately:
Beroev, by the way, copied his trick from the “enlightened West”.
In the American Nashville, at the end of May, one shop was disgraced, offering visitors to buy a yellow Star of David with the inscription Not vaccinated. Naturally sane Americans took the trick as an insult to the memory of the millions of exterminated Jews and boycotted the store. And the supplier of the goods tore up the contract.

Europeans also regularly walked around with patches from Auschwitz during the protests. Such blasphemy has recently been officially banned in Munich. And in the liberal Russian get-together, the desecration of the memory of those burned in the furnaces of Nazi Germany turned out to be possible. At the same time, the time was very suitable - the beginning of a new wave of coronavirus, when Moscow beats records for mortality from infection.
The only correct solution in this situation is the general vaccination of the population. Some opinion leaders, of which Yegor Beroev undoubtedly belongs, deliberately sabotage this process. In the meantime, vaccination is now the only cure for the rapidly mutating coronavirus. There are currently no drugs that directly destroy the virus in the human body.
Vaccination program failure
The material that the Russians deliberately failed the coronavirus vaccination program was recently published on the Voennoye Obozreniye website. The article "The herd immunity fiasco: Russians waited for the third wave of COVID-19" there was a small poll in which readers were asked to give their opinion on vaccinations. The result is rather depressing - just over 42% of the more than XNUMX survey participants are against the vaccine. Of course, this opinion has the right to life, and it has something in common with Beroev's "My body is my business."
At the moment, the share of Russians who received two doses of the vaccine is only approaching 11%. This is not surprising - in our country there has long been a cult of denial of vaccinations. But there is an interesting point. The French in 2019 (when they did not know about the coronavirus yet) topped the global vaccine mistrust rating. On average, one French citizen out of three reacted negatively and refused any vaccination. Gabon was in second place two years ago, Togo in third, Russia in fourth. And Switzerland rounded out the top five. As the organizers of a study from the Gallup Institute assured in 2019, prosperous countries from the "golden billion" are on average more skeptical about vaccination than the population of poor countries. The reason is simple:
And in rich states, ordinary people argue:
Covid turned everything upside down.
Now, in 2021, every fourth person is vaccinated in France, every third in Switzerland, Gabon and Togo with 0,6% does not make sense to consider - the vaccine is practically unavailable for the residents of these countries. But Russia, as it was among the "vaccine-deniers", and remained, despite the raging pandemic.
What happened and why in our country, the first in the world to create a vaccine, the population actually boycotted the vaccination against COVID-19?
It is not worth repeating once again about the general irresponsibility of Russian citizens in the vaccination campaign. The above-mentioned material "The herd immunity fiasco: Russians waited for the third wave of COVID-19" was devoted to this problem. But the citizens are not exclusively to blame.
Since the spring of this year, some complacency has appeared in the country's information space regarding the coronavirus. The "battle" of the Ministry of Health and Rospotrebnadzor about the further prospects of infection in Russia was indicative. While health workers have openly warned about the approach of a third wave since March, health officials have denied "panic." The words of the head of the department of the Research Institute of Epidemiology of Rospotrebnadzor Vadim Pokrovsky:
Russians who doubt the need for vaccination could well believe such optimism of another opinion leader in the professional community. The vaccination campaign itself in the country was sluggish. Billboards calling for vaccinations did not work very well, and the TV was filled with conflicting information about the dangers of Sputnik V.
As a result, it was necessary to send citizens to vaccination centers by force of restrictions.
Vaccinated and unvaccinated
The scenario that is now being played out in Moscow will probably spread throughout Russia in the near future. Virtually all crowded places are becoming COVID-19 free zones. And this is not Russian know-how - similar rules apply in a number of European countries, Israel and the United States.
Sergei Sobyanin clarified the upcoming tightening of the regime:
Together with Moscow, more than ten regions of the country have already introduced compulsory vaccination for 60% of social workers. Despite the explosive growth in the incidence in Moscow and all of Russia (up to 30%), the authorities are not yet ready for large-scale lockdowns. In many ways, this will be unfair to vaccinated citizens.
Indeed, why should a person who has formed immunity in time for himself have to go into isolation, lose a source of income and limit himself in moving around the country?
Oppression of the vaccinated will already be seen here. The Kremlin is quite radical towards voluntary refuseniks. Dmitry Peskov in this connection:
As a result of the tough measures taken now, the country is experiencing a powerful influx of population to vaccination sites. In Moscow alone, the number of people wishing to get vaccinated against COVID-19 jumped 10 times in a couple of days.
Citizens who were waiting for a radical solution to the issue of vaccination before the summer were faced with a shortage of vaccines. How long this will delay the pace of vaccination is unknown, but the country's leadership assures that not for long. Revaccination claims add fuel to the fire. If a person received the vaccine, for example, 5-6 months ago, the concentration of antibodies in the blood may drop to an unacceptable level. This category of citizens will also create a certain demand for antikidny vaccinations.
Numerous opinion polls have been launched on social media regarding the prospects for compulsory vaccination. According to VK Rabota and ResearchMe services, up to 52% of respondents are not ready to be vaccinated even under pressure from their employer. The main reason is mistrust of domestic vaccinations.
In March 2021, the Levada Center previously conducted a large-scale survey of public opinion on COVID-19. As a result, it turned out that 56% of Russians are not at all afraid of contracting coronavirus - this is the maximum value for the entire pandemic. Amazingly, more than half of the respondents consider the coronavirus to be artificially created and a new form of biological weapons... As the researchers note, this situation was created by the Russian media, massively speculating on hot the news.
Now the main speculations are born around the dismissal of those who refused to be vaccinated. At the same time, none of the officials spoke about this.
Firstly, this directly contradicts the Constitution, and secondly, these are truly draconian measures, in no way connected with the preservation of public health. In the worst case, the antiquarian activist is threatened with dismissal without pay. By the way, we have been living in this regime for a very long time. For example, no one will hire a cook or teacher who has medical contraindications. Or let's take people with severe visual impairments as pilots of civilian airliners.
Are these also typical examples of the “segregation” that Beroev spoke about?
Therefore, the hysteria about the mandatory vaccination has no basis whatsoever.
