"Tsar Rugё": Abroad, they use a new version of weapons against UAVs

23

The increasing use of unmanned aerial vehicles in modern warfare has led to a race to develop the technologies needed to defuse them. One Australian developer hopes that his product will become the mainstream in this market.

This was reported by the Asia Times newspaper.

A new version was shown in Australia weapons against UAVs - DroneGun Tactical, created by DroneShield. This surprisingly large but light weapon resembles something from Star Wars. The "Tsar Ruzhe" is 1,42 meters long and weighs less than 7,3 kg.

Powered by two rechargeable lithium batteries that last more than two hours, DroneGun uses non-kinetic interference technology to disrupt communication drone with an operator at a distance of more than two kilometers.

It's better than just destroying the UAV. According to the developer, the "gun" is capable of jamming satellite navigation, which allows you to take the drone "prisoner" and then examine it in detail. If necessary, he is also able to send the drone back to where it came from.

In 2019, during the opening ceremony of the 30th Southeast Asian Games in the Philippines, the first version of the device disabled at least four UAVs. Then four drones simultaneously appeared on the flight path of the helicopter of the Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte a few minutes before his arrival. In order to prevent the UAV from getting into the blades of the helicopter, it was necessary to use anti-drone weapons against them.

And we will teach hedgehogs to shoot with needles at drones, hitting them with the first needle lol As an option, to bring the breed of casting dogs so that they are UAVs, literally tore with their fangs on the screws in flight lol

Are you talking about the flying (space) re-dogs from the novel by Gianni Rodari "The Planet of Christmas Trees"? So after all, they also found their own bones, perforations.

      Re-dogs

      - Anxiety! We are surrounded! - Captain Ex-Paulus grabbed Marco by the hand: - Let's go to my cabin! Fast! And they rushed up the narrow, steep staircase. “It's good,” the captain added, “that the attack began before nine o'clock, while I was on duty. It is better seen from the captain's cabin - it is in the head of the horse. Look!
The cabin was all glazed and looked like the veranda of a country house in the mountains. It was clearly visible how hordes of huge monsters were rushing towards the spaceship from all sides. With incredible barking, they rushed furiously onto the ship.
      - Why, these are dogs! - Marco was surprised. - Flying dogs, damn it!
      “Re-dogs,” the captain clarified.
      - Also astronauts, how is your horse? An enemy armada?
      - No no! They are just nasty animals. Look at this, do you really think they are winged? In fact, these are their ears, not wings. They twirl their tail like a propeller. That's why they fly.
      - And they bark ...
      - Too loud. Powerful acoustic attack!
One of the pere-dogs pressed its muzzle against the glass of the cockpit, as if it wanted to look inside. Even her eyes, paws and belly seemed to be barking. Marco tightly clamped his ears, but still could not escape the deafening barking that filled everything around

DroneGun uses technology non-kinetic interferenceto disrupt the drone's communication with the operator

      what a nightmare...
I wonder what the author understands by kinetic interference capable of disrupting communication - probably a bully and a sling, with a change in the form of "casting dogs".

ergonomics of all such beam guns is not entirely successful, IMHO. Well, make something like a movie camera on a tripod, why keep this crowbar hanging?

The army has infinity of protected channels. In principle, it is also possible to pull up on civilians, but such an upgrade will not pass by the special services due to the use of army technologies

What is non-kinetic interference? Although for the catchphrase - a stone thrown at a dog will be considered a kinetic hindrance.

Such guns have an undoubted advantage: they look spectacular and therefore easily fit to the customer. The downside is that the concept of application is stupid: to create good power in the direction of the target, a narrow radiation pattern is required, and with a narrow BP, you cannot catch a drone with trembling handles.

Well, a foil hat would be necessary, otherwise the DN petal in the opposite direction has a place to be

In my opinion a child's toy. negative .Modern UAVs are already more advanced and systemic than these drones sold everywhere, etc.

Is it interesting for the military or civilian sector? And then hang a rifle on the UAV and, at such ranges, he will "remove" this fighter with a "bandura" earlier.

I think a flock of UAVs - fighters destroying in the control sector
everything that does not pass the identification of "friend or foe" is the very thing.
A sort of patrol, like a Nemchury in the Second World War.
And with these fart have run people. Who wanted to smoke
who went away out of need.
