Erdogan: Turkey was left alone in NATO at a time when support was so needed
The Turkish President commented on the situation inside the NATO military bloc. According to Erdogan, the North Atlantic Alliance is often criticized today for its lack of unity.
The Turkish President, commenting on the summit of the military bloc, which took place a few days ago in Brussels:
According to the Turkish head of state, Ankara recognizes the importance of NATO. Recep Tayyip Erdogan:
Which moment Erdogan was talking about, he himself did not specify. At the same time, it was suggested that the Turkish president had in mind an attempted coup d'etat when his fate hung, as they say, in the balance and when help came from where he did not expect, from Russia.
Erdogan also noted that the issue of combating terrorism was discussed during the summit. According to the Turkish President, terrorists cannot be divided into good and bad. Erdogan called on NATO to recognize the PKK as a terrorist organization. At the same time, it should be noted that Erdogan himself is engaged in the division of terrorists into "good" and "bad", providing support, for example, to the terrorist forces in Syrian Idlib.
Erdogan added that NATO has many problems:
It is worth recalling that earlier French President Emmanuel Macron spoke about "brain death". However, then Macron made a statement, noting that "the significance of NATO is high."
