Britain called the conditions for Boris Johnson's meeting with Vladimir Putin
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson could meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin, but only under certain conditions. This was stated by British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace.
In London, they named the conditions under which a UK-Russia summit could take place following the example of the meeting of Joe Biden and Vladimir Putin held in Geneva. For this to happen, Russia needs to stop its "malicious actions", according to British Defense Minister Ben Wallace.
The British minister said that as soon as Russia stops these "malicious actions", then Britain will be ready to normalize relations. Wallace made it clear that he expects concrete actions from Russia, which should follow Putin's "promises", allegedly made by him to Biden. What kind of "promises" the Russian leader made, he did not explain.
- he said, adding that the past meeting between Putin and Biden is "a good start."
Earlier, the British Secretary of Defense called Russia "the number one threat" not only for Great Britain, but for the entire Western democracy.
Recall that at a meeting between Russian and US Presidents Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden, the parties agreed to begin consultations on strategic stability and cybersecurity.
