Surkov about Navalny: the Germans love him, let him give him the opportunity to be elected to the Bundestag
137
Former aide to the President of Russia Vladislav Surkov, who was in charge of the negotiation process on Donbass, gave an interview to the Western press. The journalists did not miss the opportunity to once again raise the topic of the criminal prosecution of Alexei Navalny in Russia. The FT (Financial Times) reporter was interested in what Surkov would say about the lack of the ability of Navalny and representatives of the FBK (recognized as an extremist organization in the Russian Federation, performs the functions of a foreign agent) to participate in the elections as candidates.
The ex-aide to the President of Russia, commenting on the question of a Western journalist, said that Navalny and his associates may well nominate themselves for the upcoming parliamentary elections in Germany.
According to the author of the concept of "sovereign democracy", "the Germans love him (Navalny), and therefore could grant him the citizenship of the Federal Republic of Germany."
Vladislav Surkov:
This would allow him to stand for election to the Bundestag.
Surkov advised the West to consider this possibility.
Recall that Western journalists tried to exaggerate the topic of Navalny during the interview and press conference of Vladimir Putin. Putin was asked if the blogger would die in prison. The President of Russia noted that medical care is provided to all prisoners in need. At the same time, Putin added that the medical service is not at the proper level in all correctional institutions and that this needs to be corrected.
