The shipborne air defense missile system "Resource" developed by the Almaz-Antey air defense complex will be shown for the first time at the maritime salon in St. Petersburg
Concern VKO "Almaz-Antey" will take part in the international naval show "IMDS-2021", which will be held from 23 to 27 June in St. Petersburg. According to the press service of the concern, the shipborne SAM "Resource" will be shown at the show for the first time.
The concern has decided to show the Resource multi-channel anti-aircraft missile system at IMDS-2021, designed to protect surface ships from an air attack. The new complex is capable of fighting manned and unmanned aerial targets in the near zone, including those flying at extremely low altitudes. No other details have been provided about the complex.
As stated by the general director of the concern, Yan Novikov, Almaz-Antey's products, namely sea-based air defense systems, make it possible to successfully fight any types of aerospace attack weapons.
In addition to the Resurs air defense system, the concern will present modifications of the Kalibr cruise missiles, a full-scale model of the Palma air defense missile system, a model of the 3M-47 Komar turret, as well as models of the Kasta-2E2 and Podlet-E radars.
According to the previously announced plans, more than 2021 ships, submarines, boats and ships will be presented at IMDS-15, in particular: the corvette "Gremyashchiy" of project 20385, the frigate of project 22350 "Admiral Kasatonov", MRK of project 22800 "Odintsovo", and also a minesweeper of project 12700 "Vladimir Emelyanov". In addition, the submarines of projects 636.3 "Varshavyanka" and 677 "Lada" will be presented for the first time.
