The batch of the latest armored vehicles of the "Partner" escort will go to the troops by the end of the year

A batch of the latest armored escort vehicles "Partner" will enter service with the Russian army by the end of the year. This was reported by the press service of the military department.

As part of his working trip, Deputy Defense Minister Alexei Krivoruchko visited the Remdizel plant, where he got acquainted with the production of Typhoon armored vehicles. As a result of the trip, a statement was made that a new armored escort vehicle "Partner", created on the basis of "Typhoon-VDV", will enter service with the Russian army. By the end of the year, the military will receive 11 new armored vehicles.

As the chief designer of "Remdizel" Igor Zarakhovich stated, "Partner" was created on the basis of "Typhoon-VDV" specially for escorting convoys. Unlike the landing version, the new armored car has increased protection. There are no other details on the new car yet.

It is specified that from next year the entire line of Typhoon armored vehicles will be equipped with new domestic wheels with combat-resistant rubber inserts produced by the Nizhnekamsk Kama. The wheels are currently undergoing government tests.

The company also reported that serial deliveries of Typhoon-VDV armored vehicles and Linza sanitary armored vehicles based on Typhoon-K 4X4 chassis will begin in July. In addition, a new armored mining vehicle, created within the framework of the Klesh ROC, entered the stage of state tests. The minelayer was also developed on the basis of the Typhoon-VDV.

Typhoon is just a promotional name. Remdiesel is KamAZ, for the defense industry

This is not true. This is a platform in the manufacture of which more than 100 enterprises work. It's called Typhoon.

Why not the base of the Urals, Kamaz, in difficult conditions such as Yakutia, they are on their fingers. I saw how a shift camp at the base of the Urals went uphill through one and a half meter of snow to put a lighthouse for geodesists, the steepness of the mountain was prohibitive ...

Apparently, the military has finally decided on the unification of armored vehicles based on the Typhoon Airborne Forces.

In addition to the general base, there are also the main units - commercial. And so two parallel "branches" Tiger (massive and cheap) and Typhoonok ...... and, respectively, Typhoon-U (Ural) and Typhoon-K (Kamaz) .... but with heavy MRAPs it is still somehow quiet.

Typhoon Airborne Forces turned out to be a very successful platform for this it received such widespread use. Yes, and he came out handsome, although this is certainly far from the main thing.

It's time to put an end to the terrorists and their accomplices - the Americans and Turks in Syria - in order to forget about patrolling, and reduce it only to protecting the perimeters of our bases there.

There, probably, there is a difference ... easier, but with a module or filling, or simply - an armored bus with maximum armor ..... The carrying capacity of the chassis is the same.

The issue of armament is the most interesting here, it seems to me that the Drok with an 82 mm mortar is more suitable for escorting. Low ballistic cannon LSHO-57 or 40 mm grenade launcher have not yet become widespread. There was also an outlandish project "Samum" with the installation of a ZU-23 equipped with electric drives. One can only guess.

And they will be accompanied by "Partner" armored cars, those "Colleague" armored cars and so on. It seems that our officials from the army are worn with armored vehicles as a notorious folklore element with a written sack, absolutely not thinking about the place of these "products" in the army, and even more so without remembering such curses as "unification", "logistics" and the like ... Well, it really looks like a child who has grabbed for toys in a store. Enoughs everything at once and more.

But there was a lot of space for unarmored cars, for burned ones, along the roads on the side of the road. Do you think it's great, defending to shoot from the ZU-23-2 while sitting completely without protection in the back of a tilt truck? It seems that I did not get acquainted with the specifics of logistics in Afghanistan. There you could see the logistics and unification.

Is it impossible to accept a unified armored chassis of 1-2 brands? Do you need 100500 for every sneeze? And for some reason I don’t remember that I drank broodershaft with you. First try to understand the text, then give birth to your comments

Understood your text perfectly with concern about finding a place for armored escort vehicles. Now there are no escort or escort vehicles at all, with what to unify? Typhoon-K and U are not very suitable due to their large sizes. And the Tiger has a weak resistance to explosions and an equally weak armor. Only gorse or this Typhoon-Airborne Forces are well suited.

As an option (a bit bold, of course) - a simplified APC for PGRK escort. And in general, if you look at other countries, for some reason there are 2-3 names for everything about everything (from armored vehicles), but we have 1-2 names for each sneeze.
I am most worried about the assortment. Too many different armored vehicles.

The armored personnel carrier was half-blind for convoy functions, because of this, it was ridden on horseback.
And his armor is frankly weak. And for some reason, the assortment does not bother me, not my problem, as long as everything is produced in small batches, as it is determined, they will be driven in large batches.

If the armored personnel carrier of the PGRK escort had been half-blind, it would not have been accepted into service. He just sees a lot and how the demining machine partly works, EMNIP
