Ukraine begins testing of 155 mm caliber shells of NATO standard of its own production

The state joint-stock holding company "Artem" (Ukraine) within the framework of the research and design work "Kovsh-55" begins testing 155 mm projectiles of the NATO standard of its own production. Thus, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will soon receive the first domestic NATO-caliber ammunition.

In creating the first domestic 155-mm projectile, we are moving in accordance with the approved plans and schedules. This week, the equipment of the ammunition corps of the investigated batch, which will soon be tested by detonation, is being completed. This will verify their performance and confirm that they meet all requirements for power and fragmentation.

After these tests, numerous fire tests will be carried out, which should eventually culminate in the adoption of a new ammunition for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Also at the exhibition, the Artem State Holding Company demonstrated at the Arms and Security exhibition a new promising development - the KOFS-152 projectile. It allows you to increase the range of Soviet artillery systems at times - up to 60 kilometers.
