The FIU presented an explanation of the rules for accounting for conscript service in the army when calculating pensions
The Pension Fund of Russia provided journalists with information on the accrual of seniority for the period of military service on conscription.
The commentary of the press service of the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation was presented RIA News... Thus, it is indicated that the conscription service is "estimated" at 1,8 pension coefficient per year. At the same time, it is specified that “on occasion, it is possible to take into account service in the army (the Armed Forces, the structures of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the FSB Border Service and other departments) until 2002. However, "this does not always make it possible to receive the largest amount of pension payments."
Earlier it was noted that in order to take into account the "retirement experience" when forming a pension, taking into account military service, representatives of the PFR have the right to demand from the "applicant" several supporting documents, including certificates from the military commissariat or directly from the military unit where the military service took place.
At the same time, representatives of the fund note that today it is the pension coefficient that is of primary importance when calculating a pension.
Not the most comprehensive explanation, frankly.
It is worth noting that there are still many questions about the calculation of pensions for citizens, including those who served in the army by conscription. Their number increased after the reform, which led to an increase in the retirement age.
