The model of the unified anti-aircraft missile "Coral" is presented at the exhibition in Kiev

Today (June 15) the exhibition “Weapon and Security 2021 ". For obvious reasons, the holding of events within the framework of the exhibition is limited by sanitary requirements, but in Ukraine they say that the exhibition will be "sufficiently representative". In 2019, the military-industrial forum gathered in Ukraine more than 500 different companies and over 27 thousand participants.

The main number of companies that present their products at "Zbroya ta bezpeka - 2021" are Ukrainian today. The main task of companies, as at any other similar exhibition, is to get the opportunity to sign contracts with customers, including the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.

At the exhibition in Kiev, a mock-up of the unified anti-aircraft missile "Coral" from the design bureau "Luch" (Kiev) is presented.

Work on this rocket has been going on for five years. The decision to start such work was made in 2016 "at the suggestion" of the then Minister of Defense of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak.

The Coral developers name some of the characteristics of this guided missile. Thus, the maximum target hitting height is 10 thousand meters, the maximum range is 30 thousand meters, the maximum missile speed is 1100 m / s, the missile mass is 300 kg with a warhead weight of 25 kg. The rocket implements ARGSN - an active radar homing head, as well as an inertial navigation system.

According to some reports, the missile can also be used as an air defense system on warships.
