"Bidder for supply to Egypt": Ukrainian MBT BM "Oplot" will be shown at the exhibition "Arms and Security - 2021"

41

Ukrainian tank T-84 BM "Oplot" will be demonstrated at the International Exhibition "Weapon and Security - 2021 ", which will be held in Kiev from 15 to 18 June 2021. This is stated in the message of Ukrspetsexport.

Tank "Oplot", the purchase of which the Ukrainian Armed Forces refused in 2019, will be shown to the general public. It is noted that the show tank will be held for the first time, earlier at the exhibition heavy armored vehicles were not shown.

The reason for showing this particular tank was not explained in Ukrspetsexport, but it is assumed that Ukraine intends to once again offer this tank for export, since Oplot is the only tank that was delivered to foreign armies, in particular, 49 MBT T-84 were delivered Thailand.

In favor of this version is the fact that in April of this year the tank "Oplot" and the capacity for its production at the Kharkov plant. Malyshev was shown to the Egyptian delegation that came to Ukraine. As stated at the enterprise itself, Cairo is considering the Ukrainian tank as one of the contenders for the supply of the Egyptian army. At the same time, the main competitor of "Oplot" is the Russian MBT T-90S.

The Oplot tank is a modernized version of the T-80 main battle tank, which was put into service in the USSR in 1976. Currently in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to Ukrainian sources, there are 6 T-84U "Oplot" tanks as part of the 14th mechanized brigade. In June 2019, the Armed Forces of Ukraine refused to order Oplotov due to the presence of Russian components in the design.

By the way, in February of this year, the plant. Malysheva received a contract for the construction of one BM "Oplot" tank specifically for exhibitions and parades.

They often write very much about this tank here. I propose to give him our new chase - "Oporos"!

After the loud failure of the Ukrainian tank in the European analogue of the tank biathlon, I see no chance for Oplot. Moreover, replacing a gas turbine with a horizontally opposed engine is far from being an upgrade. After all, this engine has not yet been brought to mind completely. The number of "Oplots" in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine is also not the best advertisement. Yes, and the gun on the T-90S with the same caliber is already more powerful.

There is an ancient cannon. Plus, they can only cut it from firewood. On the MC, it is new.

So they and Strongholds collect from the same firewood that they got from Russia.
Yes, and Egypt last year signed a contract with Russia for the supply of 400-500 T-90MS tanks.

Boris, the 8th place of the well-built tank is a failure, and the 7th place of the licked "Abrams" is apparently an accident.

I do not care about the failures of the Abrams. There will be an article about "Abrams" - let's talk about him. The talk is about "Oplot" and there is no need to translate the arrows.

here another thing is more important - the reputation of the manufacturer and the product, and in fact no one bought the product, so they are unlikely to take it, rather the t-90MA has more chances

Egypt is currently the world's only manufacturer of Abrams tanks. Why would they also have troubles with some kind of Stronghold?

6 T-84U "Oplot" tanks in the Armed Forces of Ukraine are just an awesome indicator of reliability .. I would like to find out how many more of them actually undergo military operation, and do not stand under the fence waiting for the next demonstration shows ..

How often on VO "experts" confuse everything in a heap ...
The Armed Forces of Ukraine are armed with 6 tanks T-84 "Oplot", the very ones that very ... unsuccessfully performed at the tank biathlon "over the hill". And they delivered to Thailand and now Egypt is offered BM "Oplot"!
Well, the designers didn't have enough imagination! But if the author writes news, he should at least understand the topic! I have 24 printed articles. Not a single one about the fleet. I don't understand it! Therefore, I am not writing!
Maybe someone who does not understand in armored vehicles should not take up the pen? And so soon our Russian "tiger" with T-VI will begin to confuse.

I am not a specialist, but, IMHO, the production of "Oplots", be it T-84U or T-84BM, has a common problem - the lack of components of domestic production. This raises the question of how our country plans to produce these machines, if the channels for the supply of spare parts from the Russian Federation are under attack.

The Ukrainians are going to sell their tank to the Ebiptyans. They could not supply theirs, so they decided to have drachmas from the Egyptians. And they seriously hope that they will win the tender. I wonder if the Egyptians are aware that if they take this tank, they will be made from garbage stocks?

MBT Swallowing is power !!! You look at many ratings of tanks in the world and this swallow is always in the first place ... ... after all, so many wars have passed ... you can say the most massive tank in the world. And the Egyptians, let's see how smart and adequate they are.

And how are our former brothers in general doing with ammunition for the 2A46 cannon? Do they have an analogue of our mango? Or will they shoot with Soviet scrap metal with a penetration of 300 mm? Well, then it is, of course, a strong car, relevant.

Ukrainians can cut a cart in front of him and drag him to the hut! After Thailand, there are no fools to buy tanks in a fictional country! And with a number of T-90ms, this misunderstanding was not even close.
