Following Ukraine? Twenty years of Russian stupidity
Sometimes in the head of a reasonable and thinking person, questions like "Who needs all this and why?" And the questions require answers. While they are emerging and still demanding. But in our country, everything goes to the fact that soon (by historical measures) there will be no one to ask such questions and there is no need.
This year, we celebrate with longing and sadness 20 years since the Soviet education system became a thing of the past and was replaced by the Unified State Exam. A system that was not criticized only by a completely lazy one from among those who understand.
Yes, there were many discussions and the authorities even at one time flirted with the people, spreading rumors about the fact that the USE would be canceled and the system with ordinary exams would be returned.
It was not so. This year, even the very possibility of any changes was finished off. If, for example, a child does not want to go to university, but dreams of a career as a janitor, he will still be obliged to pass the exam. This will be the case since 2022.
All this was presented in those years as simply a mind-blowing tool in the fight against corruption. Say, the test is something that will simply beat off the hands of those who, for bribes, promoted rich but stupid children to prestigious universities instead of talented but poor ones.
In fact, only the battlefield has really shifted. Everyone knows that. The struggle for places in a prestigious university does not begin after passing the exams, but several years before that moment. If there is money to start coaching a child to take tests from the fifth or sixth grade, everything is fine. If not - well, excuse me, we have such a wonderful country in which any child can, with a successful scenario, end up in MGIMO on a budgetary place.
True, for some reason they are all the same children of diplomats. Just as the offspring of sonorous surnames studied at HSE, they do.
And no problem, just a little more money to spend.
Here's the question: what for?
And in order to pass the test correctly. It is one-on-one, like passing exams for the right to drive a car. What do driving schools teach? Driving? No, they teach you how to take a driving license exam.
It is the same in schools. They teach not a set of knowledge, but how to correctly tick the test.
And then, as expected, an “impartial” commission at the university will consider the test results and ... And yes, we have “targeted recruitment” programs, there are also some additional tests that allow us to determine the amount of genius in a child with an accuracy of hundredths.
This is probably why we have dynasties in full swing for these twenty years. Judicial, prosecutorial, artistic, film and so on.
One gets the impression that our talent for diplomacy or stage performance is clearly transmitted at the genetic level. Or, like cucumbers, by cross-pollination. But it is transmitted clearly and to the right place.
Another dirty trick that was invented within the framework of this USE, and which cuts a lot at the root, is the so-called "portfolio". Yes, in fact, again, a portfolio consisting of various achievements, successes, achievements in sports, science and other areas is a good idea. But it is one thing to implement all this in Moscow, and quite another - say, in Saratov. Or Omsk.
It is clear that Moscow is not exactly Russia, Russia starts a little further away. True, in the environment of TOI Russia there are separate areas where passing the exam for 100 points is a piece of cake. But even with this federal entity, everything is more or less clear within the framework of the situation.
But in fact, the chasm between Moscow and Russia as a whole has only deepened. But it’s probably even better. There is nothing for slaves from the hinterland to dream of MGIMO, Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Moscow State University ... For the rest of Russia, there are all the remaining letters of the alphabet in front of the State University.
The farther from Moscow, the more difficult it is to prove / show your genius to a child, and, in fact, no one needs it. The son of a diplomat should become a diplomat, the son of a prosecutor should become a prosecutor, and a judge's daughter should become a judge. And such a continuity of generations is the very thing that is needed. And there is no need to spoil the harmonious scheme.
The scheme, I must say, is good. The commissions, "carefully and impartially" having studied the documents, where, apparently, the main indicator is the surname and patronymic of the candidate, will issue a verdict: fit for study at the same MGIMO, or will go to study in his native Penza.
It is clear that the level of training in different schools is different. But in principle, with the approach that the authorities invented for Russia, the emergence of the "generation of the Unified State Exam" is a natural result.
Yes, like a meme, but rather a terrible result, this is a "generation". It really is as they say about it. And the lack of education, or rather, the lack of education of these children is the result of the USE system.
After all, now time should be spent not on real studies, but on the ability to correctly put crosses or ticks in the test. Which, as usual, has nothing to do with normal knowledge.
Hence the result: illiteracy, a small vocabulary, gaps in history and literature. Because there is no time. And nobody likes to read today. Why, if there is the Internet, damned and blessed? From which you can quickly and conveniently pull on yourself all sorts of garbage fakes, because of your ignorance to believe in them, and then ... Yes, anything, any nonsense, from a rally for Navalny to the massacre in your own school.
The lucky ones can afford distance learning. The rich are elite schools. The rest of Russia becomes a supplier of personnel to the “GE generation”. And this is laid down at the state level.
How many petitions were filed by parents, how many hundreds of thousands of signatures were put on petitions for the abolition of the single ET system?
Even the State Duma began to think about the emerging situation. At one time, after the statements of the Deputy Speaker of the State Duma Pyotr Tolstoy, it even seemed that "it will rise just now," but no. It will only get worse, because now college graduates will have to go through this ET.
And Mr. Tolstoy is right in his statements about the fact that the system of the Russian version of the GE is a copy of the Western models. Completely ineffective, in his opinion.
And here it is worth thinking about why she is like that. And who doesn't need smart citizens in the country.
First of all, our state does not need them. Why do the authorities need people who know how to think? Analyze? Argue? Urge?
No, it's all from the devil. A citizen of Russia, as you know from the postulates voiced by Mr. Gref, must be able to sign a loan agreement and know the four operations of arithmetic. The rest are dubious values.
In general, what Mr. Gref says, one must listen very carefully, because Gref is the same indestructible reality as Chubais or Nabiullina. He will not go anywhere under any scenario, no matter what happens in the country. For Gref IS APPOINTED. And it will not go anywhere.

We have complete order with education. With the substitution of values too. IN the news both on TV and on the Internet for a long time there have been no stories about labor exploits and awards for heroes. There is more room for scandals.
I was amazed by the long reflection of the authorities on the topic of whether it is necessary to reward the Kazan Teachers who were covering up their children. Of course, what are the awards for teachers? But the medal for merit to commemorate the long and fruitful work of the 23-year-old rapper and part-time son of one of the associates of Himself is normal. For this reason, orders and medals exist in this country - to reward those who are needed, and not those who are worthy.
And the teachers ... This is so ... The bottom of the social ladder.
Let's return to the HE system. Everyone is against the system: children, parents and teachers. If you believe the site SuperJob, which regularly polls its users on various topics, then 68% of Russians would like to have the GE canceled. And if you take the parents of graduate school students, then the percentage there is even higher: 83.
What are the teachers talking about? The fact that the USE is just a slice of basic knowledge, a test for minimum literacy. And in no way is it an indicator of how talented and developed a student is. A high USE score is not a guarantee of intelligence and education, a low one is not evidence of stupidity and ignorance.
But the state needs just such a selection system. Too many students go to universities and then do anything anyway, just not mastering their profession, obtained at the university. It is a fact.
Yes, of course, people in working specialties, who are trained in colleges and technical schools, are also needed.
But for this it is necessary to raise the prestige of these specialties, and not reduce the possibility of entering a university.
As for higher education, it is already below the plinth in the country. What can I say, in order to sell mobile phones or fill out microloan agreements, you must have a higher education diploma.
The testing that is offered within the USE is only testing. And two years killed in preparation for passing this test is nonsense.
And how can a test determine the development and level of knowledge in humanitarian subjects?
In general, we can say that the Ukrainian scenario is being played out in our country at a quite normal pace. Yes, in Ukraine they added national pride and hatred to neighbors, but I am sure that this will not work for us. After such interesting statements by the president that the Soviet people single-handedly defeated fascism, I am sure that the further development of an alternative history will not be the case.
For twenty years, an experiment on stupidity has been going on in the country. Soon, in fact, “teachers” will come to schools who have studied within the HE system. And then everything will be just fine. And there will be no talk of any return to a different system of training and examination. Teachers raised by the HE system simply cannot do otherwise.
We will only have to state the fact that the Unified State Exam did not fulfill any of the tasks stated when it was introduced. Corruption has not been eliminated; on the contrary, it has blossomed in full bloom. The forgeries and distortions have not decreased. Children without privileges did not receive any advantages; on the contrary, the gap between the wealthy and the Russian “middle class” only deepened. Education has become even more expensive, because tutors have instantly multiplied, who "prepare correctly for the Unified State Exam."
And the worst thing is that we have generations coming out that are ready to believe any nonsense from the Internet.
In general, we are very successful in chasing Ukraine. The whole question is only for what purposes the crowds of the duped and indifferent to everything except the Internet will be used. We are aware of how they were used in Ukraine. What application they will find in Russia - we will see and feel, the main thing is not on our own skin.
And so - probably, we have been going on a given course for twenty years, Russians ...
