National hazing
As you know, any society is doomed to conflicts, and the higher the imbalance between the sex ratio, the more obvious the conflicts. Many have heard about the unceasing squabbles in a purely female team, and, of course, everyone is aware of the problems of an exclusively male isolated team, such as the army.
About the oppression of young inexperienced fighters by their wise “grandfathers” has been written and rewritten. Who is terribly outraged by this problem, who is more loyal to treat her, believing that this only brings up a real masculine spirit. But what to do with another phenomenon in our army, the “Caucasian brotherhood,” will not be solved by any means.
Peoples from the expanses of the Caucasus, always distinguished by a rather steep temper, tough character, and a special sense of kinship, instantly unite with each other. And then they act as a united front against all those who suppress, in their opinion, the proud Caucasian people. And if a little spirit, and even a grandfather, is able to ignore the direct order of the command, the law is not written to the members of the “Brotherhood of the Caucasus”.
Not so long ago there was a case causing, to put it mildly, bewilderment. The commander of one of the military units was forced to turn to the administration of the Muslim clergy, to stop the presumptuous wards. Sounds at first glance, of course, crazy. The army itself is unstable and retained only by the steel brackets of the discipline, and all not once ridiculed by irrationality, here have a real basis. It is terrible to even think what will happen if everyone considers himself entitled to shake the age-old structure based on correcting numerous mistakes and miscalculations. A crowd of marauding compatriots with automatic weapons at the ready, sadly, may not be the most negative consequence in this case. That is why, in the army, such great importance is attached to discipline and blind obedience to the orders of the high command, and each officer has the most important task to instill all this in recruits. But even highly experienced and highly competent commanders succumb to the community of people of "Caucasian" nationality.
Part of the reason is that the qualities that helped people survive in the harsh conditions of the North Caucasus are not very successful for the ideal subordinate. Hotness, rigidity and, most importantly, extreme cohesion, not peculiar to the Slavs. Each Dagestanian or Kabardian who arrived in the unit increases the resistance of the “Caucasian brotherhood” in geometric progression, and putting everything in its place is rather difficult. However, in our time, this situation is exacerbated by unwarranted curtsies in the direction of tolerance. The main difference of the Caucasian nationalities is their faith, to become the main trump card in reworking the order for themselves.
Many officers give up on a soldier enough to mention the incompatibility of the order received and its religious norms. Agree, the situation is simply impossible for a successful army. One may speak about the importance of religion in the life of each of us, but you must agree that if a religious affiliation becomes everything, just a means of manipulation, it is impossible to speak about true faith.
However, even real religiosity can not be a hindrance to the protection of their homeland. The Jews, for example, stand guard all days of the week, despite the categorical prohibition to work on Saturdays. And all because in the army undoubted supremacy should be given only to one religion - the statute. And this is right, because the army is its own organism, having little in common with life in civilian life. We think the higher clergy of Muslims should still recognize this truth, and bring it to their monarchs. Otherwise, we are waiting for the bleak consequences in the form of a completely decomposed army and the lack of any kind of high-quality protection of our borders.
