British specialist on Russia: the West should strike in the most important directions for Moscow
Recently, harsh gestures have become more frequent in Moscow's relations with the United States and NATO members, and the mutual expulsion of diplomats has become a routine event.
In an article published by the Pravda newspaper, Slovak observer Andrzej Matiszak discusses how the West should respond to Moscow's "provocations", since he considers Russia to be the culprit in the deterioration of relations with the US and Western countries.
In particular, the journalist is outraged that employees of diplomatic institutions of Germany, Sweden and Poland, who participated in protest actions in support of Alexei Navalny, were expelled from our country.
The author notes that the measures taken by Europe against the Russian Federation are not very effective. In an interview with journalists from a Slovak newspaper, British political scientist and recognized expert on Russia, Mark Galeotti, said that in the confrontation with Russia, the West shows insufficient flexibility and does not use imagination.
- the expert noted, implying Prague's accusations against the Russian Federation in undermining Czech military warehouses.
In his opinion, the West should strike in the most important directions for Moscow. The fact that Russia can respond to these strikes (both symmetrically and asymmetrically), Mr. Galeotti does not argue, apparently, relying on the thesis "What are we for?"
