Damansky's "black lists". Let's remember all by name

38

Three years ago, Voennoye Obozreniye published the names and surnames of 300 awarded after the events of 1969 on Damansky Island (Damansky. An island that will remain only in our memory). Most of them were border guards, next to whom soldiers fought, as well as civilians - fishermen and a beekeeper.

In the battles for Damansky, 58 Soviet soldiers were killed. Let us honor the memory of them and their feat with a minute of silence, because only a month has passed since the next anniversary of that “local” conflict. We are ready to remember them all by name. And let's not hesitate to quote at least a few words about each.

A continuation of this publication will be a conversation between our correspondent and a veteran of Damansky, Hero of the Soviet Union, Yuri Babansky.

Border guards of the 1st frontier post, who took part in the battles on Damansky Island.

Lydia Fedorovna - Strelnikov's widow - from the first minutes of the battle helped the wounded, bandaged them up, calmed them down. She was the only woman at the outpost and a real officer's wife. The Battle Order of the Red Star was awarded to her by right.

On March 21, 1969, Senior Lieutenant Ivan Ivanovich Strelnikov was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union posthumously. He was buried with military honors in the city of Iman (now Dalnerechensk), Primorsky Territory. The border post, of which he was the commander, was given his name.
The son lived and served in the places where his father died. Igor Ivanovich graduated from the Moscow Border School. He now lives in Vladivostok. Lydia Fedorovna and her daughter Svetlana live in Yekaterinburg.

By a strange whim of fate, the grandson of the Hero of the Soviet Union Ivan Strelnikov, already Ivan the third, was born on May 28, on the Day of the Border Guard. It is clear that this holiday is considered the main one in the family.

A film about the events of that time (about my fellow countryman Yu.V. Babansky):

Always remember with what blood the Soviet border guards defended this "piece of land."
Why, while handing over these lands to China, nothing stirred in anyone's soul?
There are many in the list of those killed from Kuzbass. Eternal memory to them.

Yes, among the dead border guards there are about a dozen fellow countrymen from Kuzbass. Several guys with whom I studied at the school served in the Dalnerechensky (Imansky) border detachment of the KTPO. But I myself am in Nakhodkinsky ...

He served there not far, but later for 4 years.
The battalion commander talked about Damansky, but somehow briefly, I don't know why, it might not have been welcome to talk about it.

We also remember that socialist China, which became a superpower, did not take place without the USSR.
And repaid with black ingratitude 20 years later.

Yeah, I think so, in 20 years there will be Lend Lease 2, and then, when Russia stops China near the Urals, a second front will be opened, the landing of our US allies, NATO, etc. on the coast of China

In the winter of 1985, in the lesson on "Economic Geography of Foreign Countries", they were supposed to study China. Instead of a story about the Chinese economy, after a survey on the previous topic, the teacher took out a pack of photographs from her bag, these were photographs of farewell to the dead border guards of the Strelnikov outpost. While we were looking at these photographs, which were sent through the rows, the teacher told about her childhood impressions of life on the Soviet-Chinese border. Then, from the fall of 1986 to the summer of 1988, the first two years of college, I studied the PLA as a potential enemy. This must be remembered. The "Chinese dragon" is now conducting "soft aggression", populating the territory of the Russian Far East. The Chinese, accepting the citizenship of the Russian Federation, do not renounce the Chinese citizenship. Further, it is possible to create national territorial entities with broad autonomy.

I want to add that China actively helped the Afghan spirits, boycotted the OI-80 and in every possible way spoiled our country in the international arena, and this is taking into account the fact that our country was socialist. Then Damansky was donated to China, and after that our "great president" freely handed over to China the island of Tarabars, partly the Great Ussurian and the island of Great. And it is in spite of the well-known programs that have been found there for a long time, equipped with hardened equipment, dachshunds of Russian citizens, and so on. In 2005, the treaty was transferred to China (327 km2). In the opinion of the citizens of Russia, neither the president nor the government of the Russian Federation interfered on this issue. In 2017, Russia gave China another 4,7 km2 near the Khubutu River not far from Ussuriysk
These facts can be considered a betrayal of the interests of Russia and the memory of the heroically fallen soldiers of the Soviet Army.

I remember what a stench there was in the Western media about the use of the Grad missile launcher in this conflict! The main thesis - "Grad" is not in service with the border guards, which means that we attacked the Chinese. And then it was necessary to declare that now the RZSO was delivered to the border guards, and all the cases. Then there was Lake Zhalanashkol, after which the Maoists calmed down.

I read that this was exactly what was done with it: in order not to exhibit a battle as between the Armed Forces, the Grads were transferred (on paper) to the border guards

There were no such statements in the press, which is a pity. Of course, the shame with the Korean Boeing in 1983 was still far away - then it was necessary to declare that he climbed in and did not react, therefore he was shot down, but in reality there was some muttering to the camera. The use of RZSO in 1969 was authorized by the deputy. commander of the Far Eastern Military District (the commander himself slipped into the bushes, and Moscow was silent). The country was quietly creeping into stagnation with an animal fear of those responsible for their activities. Inactivity was usually not punished.

Yes, and Damansky was transferred to the PRC in fact by the mid-70s. And Kazakhstan also handed over to the PRC most of what the Soviet border guards defended in 1969. It is unlikely that the "strategic partnership" with the PRC will be limited to these areas ...

But it is strange that now, when there is tension in the DPR and LPR, and that the United States and NATO are pushing the Zombified border guards to war with the Russian people, who is pushing fear and threat to China?
Also, the United States and NATO themselves threaten China and are pressing hard almost like Russia. Several giants with advanced technologies have already been crushed and a lot of zpr are pressing on the Huawei. Taiwan, islands, etc. China-India and others.
On the other hand, in Russia, ate did not come to a complete blockade of trade and physical blocking of borders, and the NATO army on the borders themselves.
If a person is governed by FEAR and not MIND, he is not able to respond adequately.
China is a huge country but there are no fools in the forehead of the country. The last that China needs antagonisms from Russia and vice versa, but it is that the US and NATO needed ANTAGONISTS OF RUSSIA AND CHINA !!! , and right now and ochim a lot.
In the place of RUSSIA AND CHINA, the strength of the USA and NATO, and a LOT! It will be difficult for the eyes in fights.
The events of 69 years must be remembered and taken into account, and we must tell the whole truth about the baby and how it came to this.
For example, that in the CP China they talked about the embarrassment of the USSR after the death of Stalin 53g.
It took a long time from 69g. both China and Russia have changed a lot at that time, but the US and NATO NO !!! And that's all it says. Even in the Vietnam War it was clear that the US AND NATO CANNOT DO ANYTHING AGAINST RUSSIA AND CHINA, AND WHAT DO YOU THINK AS TODAY?
The answer is as clear as day, and the US and NATO SHOULD CHANGE IF NO PEACEFULLY THEN FORCEDLY FOR PEACE TO SURVIVE!
