Units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will receive the latest American L3Harris radio stations for equipping, Turkish Aselsan radio stations will be used to equip the territorial defense forces. This is reported by the Ukrainian media with reference to the program "Newest Radio Stations for the Ukrainian Army".

According to experts from "Security Talks", in 2020, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine identified the American company L3Harris as a key supplier of secure communications radios for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is the L3Harris radio stations that will be installed on all armored vehicles of the Ukrainian army.

The Turkish Aselsan radio stations purchased earlier in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be used to equip the territorial defense forces, while the main radio for almost all units of the Armed Forces will be the products of the American L3Harris Technologies. An exception will be the combat units of the Air Force, since specialized radio communications can be installed on aircraft.

The re-equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with new radio stations, according to experts, should take place with the help of the United States, which will provide the radio stations at its own expense.

According to the plans of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, within the framework of military assistance to the United States, the Armed Forces of Ukraine should receive various L2025Harris radio stations for $ 3 million by 300. It is noted that, from 2014 to the present, Washington has supplied Kiev with L3Harris radio stations for about the same amount.

Despite deliveries from the United States, the share of new radio stations in the Armed Forces of Ukraine is no more than 20%. The units of the Special Operations Forces, airborne assault units and the Ukrainian Navy are mainly equipped with modern means of communication.
