"Journalist" Sobchak and Skopinsky maniac showed where the bottom is
The acceptability of evil
The craving for everything that is vicious, obviously, is hardwired into a person's subconscious. Excavating dirty linen, savoring perversions, and the Fall have always been popular with a certain segment of the public. Over time, this vulgarized the cultural code of mankind - it became fashionable and modern to write books about it, to make films. Severe mental disorders began to acquire a flair of romance. Remember the sensation created by the thriller "The Silence of the Lambs" and its many imitators. Abnormality in culture suddenly turned out to be synonymous with genius. From now on, a person showing remarkable mental abilities must necessarily be somewhat crazy. If earlier the phenomenon of the “superfluous person” came to the fore for its time, now the more severe the deformation of the hero's personality, the better. This, in particular, was confirmed by the success of the series "Doctor House". But even this seemed not enough for a part of the public. The disgusting in their essence "masterpieces" "Saw", "Human centipede" and the like have gained worldwide fame. However, with constant exercise, the threshold of sensitivity increased, and the audience needed new shows. So we came to a detailed documentary about maniacs and victims. What previously did not go beyond the forensic community has become a real mainstream. It is much more exciting to watch an interview with a living, real maniac than the vicissitudes of fictional characters. Maniacs, in turn, take advantage of this and for a reward tell on camera how they came to such a life. They color, so to speak, the difficult everyday life of imprisonment.
They make films about maniacs, write books, examine psychoanalysis and behaviorism under the microscope. In the West, this genre has even been called true crime or "real crime." One of the most famous works on this topic is the Netflix film Conversations with a Killer: Ted Bundy's Tapes. Why create something like this? The official explanation is that this does not happen again. Freedom of speech, revealing the darkest corners of the human psyche, should explain to a person what is good and what is bad. But it doesn't work! In the last decades, we in Russia have only managed to memorize the nicknames of insane killers - "Skopinsky rapist", "Angarsk maniac", "Lipetsk strangler" and a dozen others like that. Such reports were built around persons already convicted (usually to life imprisonment), and the viewer usually saw the maniac behind bars, in shackles, or, at most, during an investigative experiment. Ethical and moral standards, it would seem, were not violated. Serial killers and rapists deserve the death penalty, but since we have a moratorium, then let them experience at least all the delights of a life sentence. So it was possible to interpret all the previous.
But Sobchak with a team of professional operators crossed all the norms of morality and ethics. "Skopinsky maniac", who served 17 years for bullying two girls (one of whom was a minor), became the protagonist of a 66-minute film. We must pay tribute to Ksenia Anatolyevna, she held herself with dignity and talked with the rapist-pedophile Mokhov on an equal footing.
4,5 million views
In the film “Skopinsky Maniac. Conversation Free ”, which is almost freely available on YouTube, almost all the characters seem to be out of tune with their minds. Ksenia Sobchak comments on her next "journalistic" activity as follows:
The entire script of the film is built around savoring the intimate life of a maniac, as well as the details of the horror that happened for almost four years in a bunker under the garage. For a person with a healthy psyche, Mokhov does not at all seem the personification of the banality of evil. When you hear his unambiguous hints about one of the victims: “I need to deal with her again”, The soul becomes disgusting. Is this beast free? Who will guarantee that Mokhov will not do something else tomorrow? By the way, ten meters from the house, the same garage and the same bunker were preserved. The public outcry forced the head of the IC Bastrykin to order a check on the content of the maniac's interview.
By the way, about the law enforcement agencies. Dmitry Plotkin, investigator for especially important cases of the Ryazan prosecutor's office, one of the heroes of the film, looks very ambiguous. On the one hand, he is a hero-forensic scientist who has gone through the fire and water of investigative work. It was necessary, as Plotkin said, to catch the corpses out of shit. On the other hand, he tells in detail and, it seems, with gusto, how the rapist followed the physiological cycles of his slaves. An employee of the prosecutor's office calls Mokhov not a maniac at all, but an idiot. Exactly so - a simple idiot who ruined life for himself and others. What is it? Professional personality deformation or something more?
The worldview of the maniac Mokhov, who served 17 years, makes one think about justice. After such a long prison term, the prisoner did not change his views one iota. He sees what happened as nothing more than an annoying mistake. He calmly drinks, eats, sleeps, relieves. By the way, Sobchak showed almost all of this in detail. Now Mokhov is preoccupied with finding a sexual partner and earning money. This is not a banality of evil, Ksenia Anatolyevna, this is the excessive humanity of the Russian judicial system 17 years ago, as well as a pathological desire to make money on the cheapest and most toxic hype.
Need to do something
As often happens in our reality, Russian lawmakers expressed a strong desire to ban this once and for all. The initiative was taken by the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia Vladimir Zhirinovsky, and it seems that this is one of the ideas of the parliamentarian who really has the right to live. The scientific basis for Zhirinovsky's opinion was summed up by Georgy Kostyuk, chief physician of the Moscow Psychiatric Hospital No. 1 named after N. A. Alekseev. From his expert point of view, such films can become a guide to action for a mentally unhealthy viewer. Sobchak under the sauce of the mythical banality of evil showed a typical "history success ”of a pedophile rapist. Gambolled heartily for four years, served 17 years and is happier than ever. Now they show the whole country what Mokhov is a hero-lover and how many sexual acts he can perform in a night. 4,5 million views and only 75 thousand dislikes.
The story with Mokhov and Sobchak makes us think about how much more freedom our society needs in order to finally come to its senses. The slag that flows from Western YouTube and the like, we can neither ban nor block, or we do not want to. In this regard, one can only envy the western man in the street. And this is not about liberal values. Why can they publicly condemn Kevin Spacey or Johnny Depp, and we cannot ignore Sobchak together? Where is the bright future, when the podium and microphone are taken away from such odious "journalists" and accounts in social networks and video hosting are blocked? The American Twitter of the President of the United States was left speechless at the right time, and the toxic video Sobchak with Mokhov was only restricted by age. The whole story of the Skopinsky maniac and the noise around will only increase the authors' income, which will create another precedent for enrichment. The bottom that the former Russian presidential candidate has groped seems to be deepening. Who is the next of the rapists-pedophiles freed from places not so distant?
