Ukrainian military pilots conducted preparatory training for the combat operation. We are talking about the 831st tactical brigade aviation Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stationed in Mirgorod, Poltava region.
As noted, the personnel of the Air Force brigade belonging to the Center air command "carried out preparations for conducting combat operations as intended." In particular, flight training was carried out in various meteorological conditions, and the work of combat aviation guidance points was worked out.
Young pilots - junior officers who received diplomas from graduates of the Kharkiv National University of the Air Force named after Kozhedub last year were also involved in the training. The flights were carried out on Su-27 and Su-27UB fighters.
From the press service:
Young officers flew to improve their skills.
We will remind that earlier in Ukraine announced a plan to renew the fleet of its Air Force according to the program, calculated until 2035. Based on this program, it is argued that Ukraine "can receive fifth generation F-35 fighters from the United States of America." This is despite the fact that at the moment the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine do not have enough funds for the timely maintenance of existing combat and transport aircraft. Recall that the cost of one hour of F-35 flight today is 36 thousand US dollars.
Returning to the issue of the training of the 831st brigade of the Ukrainian Air Force, it is worth noting the statement of its commander Alexander Mostovoy, who himself took part in the flights:
Based on the results of the flight shifts, we can say that the tasks have been completed successfully, the interaction and professionalism of all support services has been demonstrated.
