In the outgoing 2020, the implementation of the current State Arms Programs continued, providing for the supply of various materiel, weapons and equipment to the troops. This year, the ground forces again received a large number of various products, which had a positive effect on their equipment and combat effectiveness. Consider how rearmament has been going on in recent months and what results it has led to.

Goals and Plans

The implementation of the current State Program for the Development of Arms for 2011-2020 is nearing completion. One of its main goals was to increase the share of modern models in the armed forces to 70%. According to the latest reports, these tasks have generally been completed. In the ground forces, the share of new models exceeded 50%, which significantly influenced their capabilities.

The procurement and supplies of the outgoing 2020 made it possible to obtain and consolidate such results. This year, quite complex tasks were set, but the industry and the army successfully coped with them - with known positive results.

At the beginning of the year, the Ministry of Defense announced plans to supply more than 1500 units. automotive and special vehicles of various types. Then it was announced plans to supply 300 tanks, hundreds of armored vehicles of other classes, artillery systems, air defense systems, etc. The introduction of fundamentally new models was expected. In addition, several contracts were signed this year for the supply of equipment in the future.

Armored purchases

In the field of armored vehicles, the transfer of the first batch of tank support combat vehicles to the troops is of greatest interest. After a long wait, 8 new BMPTs entered the combat unit and are now showing their potential. Depending on the results of the current operation, a decision will be made on new purchases - within the framework of the following State programs.

Arms and equipment supplies to the ground forces in 2020
The batch of BMP-1AM for trial operation

This year it was planned to deliver 300 main tanks to the unit. OK. 120 vehicles of the T-72B and T-80BV types were removed from storage and restored for transfer to four newly formed battalions. 120 modernized T-72B3 arr. Tanks were transferred to several units and formations. 2016 The recent launch of mass production made it possible to transfer to the troops up to 50 T-90M tanks and at least 15-20 T-80BVM tanks. Thus, the plans for MBT this year have been fully implemented.

The ground forces were to receive several hundred infantry fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers of the main models. These plans have also been successfully implemented. So, orders for 100 units. BMP-3 was completed ahead of schedule in early autumn. Deliveries of the upgraded BMP-2 with the Berezhok combat module have begun. Of the 60 planned machines, at least 50-55 were delivered to the customer. For military tests, a batch of 15-20 BMP-1AM "Basurmanin" vehicles was made.

Plans for 2020 included the supply of 460 armored personnel carriers. Provided for the purchase of 130 BTR-82A new construction and the modernization of 330 units. equipment out of stock. Such equipment was regularly transferred to the customer and distributed between various departments. In general, the plans for the armored personnel carrier have been fulfilled.

In 2020, deliveries of new Msta-SM self-propelled guns continued. Photo: Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation

The delivery of the Typhoon 4x4 armored vehicles has been completed. Earlier it was reported that this year the army is going to receive at least 30 such vehicles. The first batch of 15 Tigr-M armored cars with the Arbalet-DM combat module was delivered. The procurement of such equipment will continue next year.

Artillery supplies

In May, one of the formations of the ground forces began trial operation of the newest self-propelled artillery systems 2S35 "Coalition-SV". For these events, he received the first batch of eight cars of serial appearance. After checking in the troops, a full-scale series can be launched.

It was planned to supply at least 35 ACS type 2S19M2 "Msta-SM". In the spring and autumn, this technique was transferred to the artillerymen of the Southern and Western military districts. On the modernization of the ACS "Msta-S" this year was not reported. Probably all the machines that needed it have already gone through the update.

In 2020, the missile forces and artillery were to receive at least 30 Tornado-G and Tornado-S multiple launch rocket systems. With the help of such supplies, the rearmament of some units and formations was completed. In addition, modern MLRS came at the disposal of military universities.

At the June 24 parade, a new model of rocket artillery, the TOS-2 Tosochka heavy flamethrower system, was first shown openly. Soon after that, the system was accepted into experimental military operation. In the fall, TOS-2 was used in major exercises. So far, we are talking only about a few units, but mass deliveries are possible in the future.

Anti-aircraft novelties

To date, a full-scale serial production of the Verba portable anti-aircraft systems has been launched, and the supply of such products to the troops continues. At the beginning of the year, it was reported about the imminent transfer of MANPADS kits to batteries of motorized rifle formations of the Central Military District. Later, there were similar reports from other districts. We are talking about the supply of dozens of new MANPADS.

The delivery of two divisional kits of the Buk-M3 military air defense system was planned for this year. New equipment in the amount of 80 units. by November, it was transferred to the army and put into service with the anti-aircraft missile brigade of the Central Military District. The equipment has already been tested at the range during a recent exercise.

In the near future, deliveries of military air defense systems will continue. In May, it was reported about the conclusion of long-term contracts for such samples. The army ordered eight brigade sets of Tor-M air defense systems, two sets of Tor-M2DT, seven Buk-M3s and one S-300V4 set. It is quite possible that the first products under these contracts are already ready for delivery to the customer, and they will be accepted "under the herringbone".

Results of the year

In 2020, the ground forces of the Russian army received several thousand units of various equipment and weapons of all major classes. The rearmament of tank, motorized rifle, artillery and other units continues. In addition, at the expense of the new and removed from storage material part, the equipment of the newly formed connections is carried out.

It should be noted that 2020 did not set new records in the number and rate of transfer of equipment to the ground forces. Most of the volumes and structure of supplies remained the same as in previous years. At the same time, a number of new models entered the army in limited quantities for the first time. Mass deliveries of such weapons and equipment will begin in the near future.

The outgoing year puts an end to the implementation of the current State Armaments Program for 2011-2020. The implementation of these plans was associated with a lot of difficulties, but most of them were overcome. The result of this was the rearmament of all branches of the armed forces and combat arms. The Ground Forces, the largest formation of the armed forces with special needs for materiel, have renewed their armament and equipment fleet by more than 50%.

At the same time, the development of the army does not stop, and the next State Program, which started in 2018, is already being implemented. The Ministry of Defense and industry have accumulated a lot of experience and have a lot of promising developments. This means that the rearmament will continue, and the share of modern samples will remain at a given level. However, most likely, all these successes will be credited not in 2020, but in the upcoming 2021.

        I agree.
How relevant is the modernization and delivery of the BMP-21 to the troops in the 1st century? Of course, cost savings ... But, as I see it, it is better to have 5 T-15 BMPs with 57 mm. gun than 25 BMP-1AM-Basurmanin ...

But no, not really. Pay attention to the text.
This year it was planned to deliver 300 main tanks to the unit. OK. 120 T-72B and T-80BV vehicles were removed from storage and restored to be handed over to four newly formed battalions.

120 machines were simply removed from storage and put into operation not modernized. Mainly in parts of the Air Defense Forces, and the modernized equipment migrated from there to the west.

"a little shamanic" which translates into normal language as a modernization, as a result of which the combat capabilities of the equipment increased many times, which made its use relevant in modern military conflicts.

The modernization was carried out - these are the T-72 model 2016. And 120 tanks removed from storage even did not undergo a thorough repair.

The author is amazed at your optimism. What was the presentation of new types of weapons that were to be put into service until 2020, how much pride was in the voice of the Supreme when he presented advanced models of military equipment, which, again, were to be adopted by the RA. It is more difficult and more honest to write about why the rearmament program failed, and why the presented samples have not yet been accepted by the troops.

We are already accustomed to the fact that the journalism attributed to MO Shoigu shines with talents and competence, but the author ... No. ... Are you sure that there is EXACTLY Buk-M3 in the photo ?!
Have you seen these cars at least ONCE?
For if you saw, and you understand what you saw, you would never confuse Buk-M3 and Buk-M2 ... Well, it's just that the Buk-M3 has rockets in transport and launch containers ...
It's better to keep quiet about the content of the bravura reports - the original plans have been completely ruined, what has been done ... what has been done has been done.
Or they wanted to be able to.
The Ground Forces mainly received retired and modernized equipment. In the current situation, this is perhaps even more justified - for one has to fight with what is available and mastered by the troops. But to pass off the upgraded or restored equipment as new ... Although, however, they have been updated, and that's okay.
The Navy is completely blocked request .
And in Aviation it's not sugar - there were no AWACS aircraft, and no. Refueling aircraft - no. The military transport aviation, with its current load, is also not being updated (several Il-76MD90A do not count - these are tears).
More or less, the Strategic Missile Forces were rearmed, but the heavy "Sarmat" never came out for trials (they promise next year).
... In general, the "stone flower" comes out crooked ...
Here I would honestly say: "We could not, but tried, the reasons for the breakdowns and failures are recognized (?) And will be corrected, and you, the citizens of Russia, know the objective reasons for our difficulties" ... and people would take it all with understanding.
... but why dodge and mock common sense?
Assessment for the work done (in general) at 3 with a minus.
Although in a number of areas, success is unconditional.

In general, judging by the 5-point system, taking into account what is happening in the World, everything and everyone is a solid "FOUR". Science works, the development of the sea, constant updating (improvements), alive, no matter how blasphemous it sounds polygons. Why is it crazy to churn out "porn", given the deterrent factor - nuclear weapons.

The task was deliberately overstated by the Supreme. Not everything was realized. But if you look without emotion, in the bottom line, important directions have been pushed off the ground.
    - restoration of the chain of cooperation of the military-industrial complex and related industries
    - reconstruction and replenishment of the absent (disappeared, remaining on the fragments of the USSR) production of cooperation in many directions
    - mastering a partial and deep modernization of weapons at the HH (the fate of this scrap metal was unenviable 5 years ago)
    - restoration of the potential to return to the combatant and linear units of the mass of equipment with partial modernization in the event of a local conflict of high intensity (mobilization component - about which our hearts ache)
    - the GO system, its mobilization component, combat readiness and potential has been moved from a dead center (to the supreme - the fate of the GO structure was obvious)
    - restoration of the potential for the construction of military facilities (civilian dual-use - covid hospitals)
    - filling the design bureaus and development departments of the military-industrial complex with monetary and material parts, the emergence of potential and profitability of promising developments
    - active development, sea trials and development of equipment and weapons of deep modernization and promising models have begun
    - the chain of state orders has shifted and expanded the potential for the development and testing of new shooting and launch systems
    - large and large-scale military exercises with the involvement of modernized and promising models filled the exercises themselves with meanings, tasks and morale, faith in their service of the cadre, expanded the potential and development of troop management (a wound that has not healed since the summer of 41)
Maybe I didn't take into account a lot, but in the end I consider such gestures to be very useful for RA and positive. The rest of the problems pale in comparison with the opening prospects and, most importantly, in terms of the mobilization component and the universal coverage of all types of armed forces. Given the current state of Russia and the government, its economy, this gives some hope for the future, at least in the development of the armed forces, supporting them in a combat-ready state, especially against the background of a complete and partial failure in the social sphere, the economy and everything else ...

especially against the background of complete and partial failure in the social sector, economics and everything else

Against the background of other failures, at best, one can count on modernized Soviet technology. This definitely applies to the ground forces, the Air Force and especially the VTA. In the navy, the situation is even worse - not only are there the most problems, but also funding in the new GPV was reduced. So in the 20s, one should definitely not expect a new aircraft carrier or a new destroyer, which actually means a gradual withering of the oceanic fleet as such, given that 956 + 1155 remained 10 pieces. The best option for the near future is if they finish the VNEU, which they have been promising for 20 years already, and establish a rhythmic release of 22350, which, by the way, are planned for the Northern Fleet and Pacific Fleet - it is obvious that there are 5 units there and there - i.e. solely to support the deployment of SSBNs.

It turns out that the task initially was only to adjust the Soviet projects and pass it off as supposedly rearmament to new models of technology. And you will not find fault, since no one was going to decipher and concretize the meaning of the word "new", thus giving the urapatriots the opportunity to dream up massive deliveries of the latest samples of the most unparalleled as it is fashionable to say "products" now. Although, however, it would be strange to expect not a failure of the GPV against the background of all other failures, except, of course, the unparalleled Forbes list, the presence of which is a natural reason for the absence of those very coveted breakthroughs and achievements.

Because the Soviet ended in 91. And whatever it was at that time relevant, the modernization potential of this Soviet is not endless. It is clear that the Soviet modernization is not due to a good life, but because in its current form the industry often cannot pull the development of modern projects.

weapons are in no way inferior to the weapons that are in the army of our potential enemy.

These are standard non-specific propaganda noodles.

So the fact of the matter is that in some cases it will not be possible to speak about success either in quality or in quantity. As for the economic strain, it is all represented in the Forbes list, which is why the country itself has a wide range of various problems. This is also why the previously announced large-scale rearmament was mostly reduced to the modernization of Soviet models.

And to say the opposite is not a standard non-specific defeatist noodles? Most of the above list entered service later than counterparts in the enemy army, half of them surpass them in known performance characteristics (for example, the BMP-3 compared to the M2 has an extra 100 mm cannon, 3 machine guns instead of 1 and 8 ATGMs instead of 2). And the statements about the "rusty SOVIET scrap", which the Abrams will tear in thousands, is a typical collaborationist nonsense. The Abrams itself, let me remind you, was put into service 40 years ago, and was built on the basis of a project from the 60s.

No. Lies have become the backbone of the state in 30 years. Therefore, there is no more faith in just beautiful words. Those. any of their statements about unparalleled should be suspected a priori as false. And remove the mark "false" only after comprehensive and complex confirmation in practice.

    Well done! Keep it up!
Straight heart rejoices, which bleed in the 90s, when they destroyed our dear Army.

Whatever one may say, 120 quite good B3Ms and 50 modern 90Ms are more than half of the German tank fleet. And in just a year. Fresh cars. Great
