The Russian Air Force and the North American Aerospace Defense Command / NORAD joint air defense command (North American Aerospace Defense Command) will conduct joint computer exercises on air defense 27-29 of August.
This is the third stage of the Vigilant Eagle exercises (Vigilant Eagle), which at the earlier stages provided for real flights. At this stage, servicemen from Canada, Russia and the United States from the command centers in Russia and the United States will participate. This was reported to the Jace Defense Weekly weekly by a representative of the Norad Command.
The exercise will simulate one international flight of an aircraft that began in Alaska toward Russian airspace, and then a similar flight from Russia to US airspace.
According to the exercise scenario, each of these aircraft was captured by terrorists and does not use a radio communication system. Russia and NORAD will use fighters to block the captured aircraft, since the Vigilant Eagle exercise is mainly focused on the transfer of escort of the aircraft captured by terrorists between fighters from participating countries.
