The lead "Ash-M" fired in the final stage of state tests

Project 885M Yasen-M, the lead multipurpose nuclear submarine Kazan, as part of the final stage of state tests on Monday, November 23, 2020, successfully fired a Kalibr cruise missile. The press service of the Northern fleet.

Rocket firing was carried out as part of the final stage of state tests and took place in the morning from the White Sea. The target located at the Chizha training ground in the Arkhangelsk region at a distance of over a thousand kilometers from the launch point was successfully hit by the head part of the Kalibr cruise missile

- said in a statement.

As part of further state tests, the submarine will work out maneuvering in the underwater and surface positions, and will check the main systems of the ship and ship's weapons.

The press service noted that Kazan entered the final stage of testing on Saturday, November 21. The crew and the delivery team of Sevmash are on board. The submarine will be transferred to the Northern Fleet by the end of this year.

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense announced the entry of the Kazan submarine into the Navy until the end of 2019, but subsequently the deadlines for the ship were postponed due to problems discovered. The results of the mooring, as well as the winter stage of the factory sea trials, completed in January last year, showed that a number of auxiliary systems of the Kazan submarine do not meet the requirements of the Ministry of Defense. The submarine was sent for revision at Sevmash.

The Kazan submarine, the first multipurpose nuclear submarine of the improved 885M project (Yasen-M), was launched on 31 on March 2017 of the year. Compared to the 885 Ash project, the new submarine received many improvements and new systems that have not been used on submarines before. The Yasen-M project submarines have a displacement of 13800 tons, a depth of immersion of 520 meters, a crew of 64 people, autonomy of 100 days, underwater speed - 31 knot, armed with mines, 533 torpedoes, millimeters, Caliber and Onyx cruise missiles.

Yes, the news is good. Definitely!
But this is only the beginning of a long and difficult path in the service of the Fatherland. I am more concerned about her ability to stand up to Seawulf and Virginia. The fact that she fired on the shore with the spent Caliber is good, no doubt: a missile system in nome. But it was more important for me to find out how it was in terms of h / a stealth, ELF search and detection of enemy submarines. The effectiveness of simulators and the possibility of maintenance in a duel situation ...
But these questions will become known only after the first autonomy, at best ...
And so - GOOD LUCK to the commander and crew on a long and difficult underwater journey. drinks

The final tests are underway and must be handed over to the fleet by the end of the year
From the waters of the White Sea, she managed to hit the target at the Chizha training ground in the Arkhangelsk region at a distance of more than 1000 kilometers. This is reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the Northern Fleet.

The submarine entered the final tests on November 21. The crew will have to practice surface and underwater maneuvering, as well as check the main systems and weapon systems of the cruiser.

Hopefully, the final stage of the state test will go according to plan.
And this boat will be transferred to the fleet, and new ones, according to the worked out project, will be built faster.
The navy needs these nuclear submarines. hi

That's good. Nice boat. And the head ones always have problems with delivery. They are the head ones.
Surprised, the crew is much smaller than that of the same "Kursk" ... The boat is similar in size. Watch, is it 20 or so? Or on boats 2 watches? Well, this is unlikely, it will be very difficult.

Ask Klimov, he is a submariner. As a rule, on surface ships we had 2 - 3 shifts during our cruises. It depends on which warhead.

However, I'll throw a petrol into the fire. With what torpedoes the SSGN was put into service?
And most importantly - what is the situation with us with anti-torpedoes, on a much cheaper and less valuable corvette, the Package complex has been with us for at least 10 years. And what about the state-of-the-art nuclear-powered submarine at a cost of at least $ XNUMX billion?
Is it stupidity, greed, or treason?

Well, what will be a minus? wassat

There are three watches at sea. Four in eight. Due to the lack of messengers on the staff, they can take a couple of people into the wardroom from the 1st and last compartment. Then there will be 2 shifts. It's 8 through 8.

      and launch, underwater ...?

Since the main weapon of the submarine is stealth, the use of all types of weapons is possible with an underwater launch. With some tweaks and restrictions, if absolutely necessary, it is also possible on the surface. But this is no longer "standard"

Nobody argues with this. It is difficult to compare the "Ash" with the "Antey", since the "Ash" has its main armament in a sturdy hull, while the "Antey" has it in the interbody space. Themselves as strong cases of almost the same diameter, and in length, the difference is somewhere in 10%, it seems, is not much.
By the way, the carrier for the Poseidon is the K-329 Belgorod submarine, based on Project 949A, but the length (at design waterline) is 184 m (at the 941st 172,8 m). In terms of displacement, of course, the 941 has no equal.

Here's how to say. Good or not. With a slightly larger crew, we had only three in the supply team. Chief of the team (midshipman), senior cook instructor (midshipman) and cook (sailor). How will they be able to provide four meals a day for three combat shifts? No way. It was necessary to distract people from combat posts (the remaining had two shifts) or to send people over the state to go out to sea. But all are assigned to combat posts for a reason. And someone also needs to maintain equipment at sea. One cleaning of the evaporator (desalter), for example, is another procedure. The smaller the crew, the greater the load.

Or maybe it’s true, in the RF Ministry of Defense to disperse the entire press service ... Just a few days have passed, as on "VO" discussed that the White Sea is small, it is not possible to "shoot a lionfish" across the battlefield of a "Chizha" from it at a distance of more than 1000 km. And the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation about another ship started an old song about Chizha. I just want to ask; "Guys, you yourself have not forgotten what the materials were prepared at least 5 years ago, and 10-15 years ago? You yourself called figures: "... 50 basic and 11 modifications of strategic missile systems with ballistic missiles have been tested; 13 strategic missile systems with cruise missiles, 8 missile systems with anti-ship missiles and 10 complexes of anti-aircraft guided missiles. "You yourself recalled the battlefields of the training ground:" Gridino "," Ponoy "," Chizha "," Novaya Zemlya ". ..A year later, in 2, according to your video materials, the whole world learned that the Supreme Commander at the Pemboy training ground in Khalmer-Yu in Komi had as many as 2005 lionfish with Tu-3s. left who didn’t pass mathematics, physics and geography in the form of the Unified State Exam, maybe it’s enough to work as cooks and cook one of the favorite dishes of the Chinese comrades to the ears of the people. Others in the nose, except for pr. No. 1 GAK also have TA, at least 6 pieces. And the 855 has only the GAK antenna, while the "M" has it in the form of a horseshoe. Our missiles also did not fly in a straight line in Syria, but around the territories of unreliable countries. The thing is that in Syria our missiles were going OVER THE LAND. And before going around the territory of "unreliable countries" they passed the correction zones. Where will the missile go over the water surface. The length of the coastline has nothing to do with it. On this coastline By the way, there are objects, the passage over which cruise missiles are contraindicated. The straight line from Kandalaksha to the Chizha test site is about 500 km. That's the question? where did they shoot? On Chizha, or maybe on another battlefield? Any rocket with INS has an error accumulation property. And to compensate for such errors, correction sections are used. And twice in the last month we have been subdued with a story about how they shot at a distance of 1000 km from the White Sea at the battle field of the Chizha training ground.
