Strategic Missile Forces continue rearmament to Yars missile systems

Strategic Missile Forces (Strategic Missile Forces) continue rearmament with new missile systems. According to Viktor Fotyuk, head of the Strategic Missile Forces combat training department, by the end of this year two regiments of the Strategic Missile Forces Barnaul division will be re-equipped at the Yars complexes.

This year, two more mobile-based missile regiments of the Barnaul compound will be rearmament to the Yars missile system

- told Fotyuk in an interview with the newspaper "Red Star".

According to him, the Strategic Missile Forces is working to re-equip the group with new missile systems, including the newest Vanguard.

In December 2019, the first missile regiment in the village of Dombarovsky, Orenburg Region, with the latest Avangard complex, took up combat duty

- noted Fotyuk.

Colonel General Sergei Karakaev, commander of the Strategic Missile Forces, had announced the completion of the rearmament of the Strategic Missile Forces to new complexes. According to the commander, the Topol ICBMs, which have already developed a guaranteed operational resource, are being decommissioned. They are being replaced by modern Yars missile systems. At the end of 2019, the troops received more than 150 launchers of the Yars complex in the mine and mobile versions. Each year, the Strategic Missile Forces receives about 20 launchers and the systems providing them.

In October last year, it became known that three regiments of the Strategic Missile Forces would be re-equipped with the new Yars-S missile system. The characteristics of the new systems were not disclosed, but it is known that, like its predecessors - Topol-M and Yars, the Yars-S complex is put on combat duty in two versions - in mobile and mine performance.

PC-24 "Yars" is a Russian strategic missile system with a solid-fuel intercontinental ballistic missile mobile and mine based with a multiple warhead. The defeat range is declared at 11 thousand kilometers.

It is not clear why they stopped the development of ICBMs Rubezh ....
March 22, 2018 TASS, citing a source in the Russian Ministry of Defense, reported that the RS-26 Rubezh mobile missile system and the Barguzin BZHRK were excluded from the state armament program until 2027 (GPV-27). Instead, GPV-27 included the Avangard mine-based complex, which is more important for the country's defense. The reason for the exclusion is the impossibility of simultaneously financing the above programs.

And at the same time religion does not allow to develop?
The United States withdrew from all major treaties, so why froze the development of the Barguzin BZHRK?

I think the reasons are more than prosaic: there is no money for everything at once.

Regarding "Barguzin", the Ministry of Defense decided that it was expensive and inexpedient, for "Rubezh" - I don't remember exactly.

We redistributed funds to save money. The stake was made on the launch of the Avangard, because it is more important for ensuring defense capability. There is also a political component, because Avangard is fundamentally something new, while Rubezh would be viewed by the masses as a modernization of its predecessor and would not have caused such a resonance. And the economic side: UR-100N UTTH is ready-made. Therefore, it was decided to distribute funds more economically, which resulted in the freezing of "Rubezh" and "Barguzin" until 2027. After the completion of the program, the issue of renewal will be considered.

I believe there is a lack of qualified personnel and finance. The latter is conditional, of course. The same "Barguzin" will pull the modernization of the infrastructure of the Russian Railways. And this, in the opinion of effective managers, is not targeted costs and all that ...

Barguzin today does not make sense, given the current openness of Russian Railways control systems.

And why is it needed in the presence of normal wheel sets, which are not tied to the railway, and the rockets carry the same?

The next step will already be to disguise the launcher, not as a whole composition, but as a separate container.

Oh, my time has passed! How would I now return to the combat post, to the combat command vehicle, but they take their years, eleven years at the Pioneer and two years at the Perimeter (on the Squadron, military unit 23463). I envy the young. Guys! The fate of RUSSIA is in your hands and that at the right moment the hand does not flinch on command: Attention! Enter! And after 2, 35 minutes, the first will leave the container, maybe now another start time

      We envy silently Yuri! wink
      Joke on the topic:
Son: Dad, how long is it to fly to America?
Father: Well, 15-20 minutes sonny ..
Wife from the kitchen: Are you completely foolish on your rockets? The son asks you how much you fly by plane ..
      laughing
And so we live in Russia!

Plans for this year for the supply of Yars ICBMs.
In the strategic nuclear forces, it is planned to put 22 launchers with Yars and Avangard ballistic missiles on alert. It was reported that three more regiments of the Strategic Missile Forces will be re-equipped with a mobile-based missile system Yars-S by 2021.

December 2019, the first missile regiment took up combat duty in the village of Dombarovskiy, Orenburg Region, with the newest Avangard complex
So he took and blurted out - they say the latest Vanguards in our Dombarovsky. And before there were reports about the upcoming arrival of the Sarmatians. So think the enemy - if the general didn’t follow the tongue, they were pointing a shadow at the fence, they were double bluffing, they were triple ... recourse I now understand from my mind that even less important things are limited to general phrases, but I’m not inclined to consider a boss of this level as a talker. Maybe it’s true, or maybe in this Dombarovsky a solid data base for satellites ...

There is no such Barnaul division of the Strategic Missile Forces. There is the 35th Missile Red Banner, Orders of Kutuzov and Alexander Nevsky Division.

Religion does not interfere. The current situation also hinders production.

Stirring up one division by spending gigantic sums on it - it is easier to deploy additional regiments in divisions with PGRK ... About "Rubezh" in general, everything was quiet. But IMHO now it is necessary either-or. Either complete the rearmament of the Strategic Missile Forces and continue to make SLBMs for the new Boreys, or start deploying the Rubezh. It will not work at the same time

In fact, this is all common practice in a sensible approach to strategically important developments. Such tools should be developed duplicate, at the same time and in a minimum dependence on each other in order to secure. Then choose the best option based on the situation.

Well Yars, so Yars. Strange questions are asked by some, and why other systems do not. To multiply stripes by zero and repeatedly, we already have enough opportunities, why else spend money on this?
