Russian Emergencies Ministry to send humanitarian assistance to Serbian colleagues
EMERCOM of Russia will assist Serbian colleagues in the fight against coronavirus by sending humanitarian aid to Belgrade with personal protective equipment. This was reported by the press service of the department.
As explained in the Ministry of Emergencies, assistance will be provided through the Russian-Serbian Humanitarian Center, located in the city of Nis. It was there that the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia requested assistance in equipping employees with personal protective equipment. Serbian firefighters will be supplied with personal protective equipment against coronavirus infection.
- stated in the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, adding that protective equipment and personal protective equipment for the work of fire departments of the Sector for Emergencies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia will be purchased in Serbia in the near future.
It is emphasized that the Russian-Serbian Humanitarian Center, supervised by the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia, works closely with the authorities of Serbia, the administration of the city of Niš and other state and volunteer structures.
It should be noted that in Serbia there are eight Russian medical teams, as well as specialists at the Russian Chemical and Chemical Plant with special equipment sent by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
On April 14, in Serbia, 4054 coronavirus infections were officially registered, 85 died, 400 recovered. The country introduced a state of emergency and curfew, all borders are closed. All citizens are prohibited from leaving home from Friday to Monday.
