Pentagon issues Javelin ATGM production contract for Ukraine and Georgia

Ukraine will soon receive a second batch of American anti-tank missile systems Javelin. According to a notice from the US Department of Defense, the Pentagon has entered into a new contract for the production of Javelin anti-tank systems for delivery to a number of countries, including Ukraine and Georgia.
According to a document from the US Department of Defense, a joint contract with Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, was awarded the contract for the production of Javelin anti-tank missile systems. The number of ordered ATGMs is not reported, the total amount of the contract is 18,4 million dollars, the completion date is June 25, 2020. All complexes will be produced as part of the sales program. weapons and military equipment abroad in the city of Tucson (Arizona).
It is reported that new Javelin anti-tank systems under this contract will be produced not only for Ukraine and Georgia, but also for 14 more countries, including Turkey, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, etc. Who will receive how many complexes is not known.
For Ukraine, this will be the second batch of American anti-tank systems received by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The contract for the supply of the second batch was concluded in the fourth quarter of last year. Prior to this, Ukraine has already received 37 launchers and 210 Javelin anti-tank guided missiles from the United States totaling $ 47 million.
