The Soviet Union (in the public mind - commissars in dusty helmets) was a monopolist in the pop and cinema sphere. It was the Union that taught, fed and raised the “stars”, the so-called Bohemia, on a pedestal, while having a clear political line. As they say, whoever dines with the girl dances her. And, of course, the new idols should have been a model of morality.
How to sculpt the image
Using a variety of tools, the “commissars in dusty helmets” did not allow the bohemians to get drunk, run around juvenile nymphets and swear, at least in public. Indeed, unlike the standard layman, educated people who got acquainted with the bohemian atmosphere knew perfectly well that an artist or an actor, no matter how gifted he may be, in life can be a complete immoral degenerate.
Of course, now this concern for the morality of the bohemian fraternity, and more precisely, for the mental health of the people, for which this creative fraternity should work, in principle, will be described almost as a Mauser, attached to the temple of the next "genius". In reality, this was simply not required. After all, the employer is alone. He began to worship Bacchus, knocked down someone else's wife, made a brawl, and even turned it all on in public - please change jobs, let the sophisticated sleek hands get used to the machine.
Thus the image of omniscient samples of morality and decency was forged on our stage and screen. That is the image, since even then many representatives of the bohemian fraternity, having decent financial resources and connections with the powers that be, surrounded themselves with scarce products, not paying attention to the legality of the ways of its production, gave “left” concerts, dragged posters from "Playboy" and rare icons at the same price.
For example, the “handshake” Makarevich, according to Peter Podgorodetsky (former keyboardist of “Mashiny Vremya”), didn’t want to share with his tour business partners, he was the most active consumer of alcohol, and at the same time he recorded most of the group’s songs. And up to the 80s, Makarevich was a member of the Komsomol, where, of course, no one drove him and did not keep a revolver at his temple.
The era of "freedom" of the 90s and its consequences
And so the Union collapsed, collapsed bloody, with unrecognized wars that swept across the entire post-Soviet space. The “commissar in the dusty helmet” near the “stars” was gone, but the people remained, and the old views on the “idols” remained. How did part of our “life examples” react to all this? One can recall the cries of Akhedzhakova “the communists will come again” in 1993. You can also recall the words of Okudzhava about how he “enjoyed the sight” of the execution of the Supreme Council.
What can I say? As Kot Matroskin used to say, “we survived, we can say that we found, washed, cleaned it from the trash in the garbage dump, and he paints us with figs”. The main thing is that these speeches were either not taken seriously, or they were listened to, which is worse. How can “such people” lie or distort the truth? We “know” them! They are “honest, talented, kind and conscientious”!
Simply put, the people simply did not have immunity. Actually, like the state authorities, which rejected the "bloody relic of censorship." And this is just bohemia quickly and scented, so the real parade of awarding all sorts of homegrown "geniuses" began. For people whom two or three people knew outside the MKAD, entire iconostases of orders appeared on the chest, and for those who were known by the whole country, just the halo on their heads began to glow.
For example, Vinokuru, noted for the production of the painting "Matilda", was awarded three orders of Merit for the Fatherland, not counting other awards like the Order of Friendship. Pugacheva, in addition to the title "Singer of the Century", was also awarded three orders "For Merit to the Fatherland." At the same time, the “prima donna”, when presenting the second order, “joked”: “This is the third degree, and for the seventieth birthday there will be a fourth. And then the fifth and sixth will go. ” But Maxim Galkin, a great specialist in ecology and problems of the Baltic states, despite his age, also managed to receive the Order of Friendship, the Order of Honor of the Kuzbass, and even the medal “For Faith and Good”.
In short, it’s a long time to list the representatives of bohemia who have collected a couple of tons of orders and medals in their collection. Here and cursed Kirkorov with his Order of Honor and the titles of national artists, and the Basques with the Order of Friendship and "For Merit to the Fatherland", and Laima Vaikule all with the same Order of Friendship. Even Andrei Malakhov, who had turned yellow to the state of Turkmen melon, even in 2006 received the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" "for his great contribution to the development of domestic broadcasting."
Of course, the West, in which our bohemian woman fell in love, can be blamed for many things and there are enough scandals there, but Madonna, who won the Order of Merit for the USA, Madonna, obviously didn’t slide down to the People’s Artist Jimmy Hendrix from the Washington DC. For relations in the West were initially formed capitalist, and we, ignoring the harsh reality, are in a coma of dreams for a social state.
The self-conceit of home-grown bohemia grew by leaps and bounds, displacing everything else: conscience, professionalism, decency, etc., dying in the process of crowding out. Now the “commissar” who was absent nearby did not even formulate a task for creativity, which, devoured by conceit, faded until it shrank to the size of a cherry stone, leaving us only to clasp our hands with an exclamation “where are our actors” or “where are our singers”. True, the old repertoire hackneyed is still selling well, especially among the older generation, nostalgic for the bright Soviet past and their own youth.
As a result, it reached the point of absurdity when the ghost of the Soviet stage was only to show its face on the screen in order to continue to appear in the "creative bohemia" and receive all the bonuses attached to it. Naturally, such an inner brawl on old yeast is barren and empty like a regimental drum. It was in the atmosphere of this void, in which bloated conceit flies, that the next generation of bohemia grew.
The next wave of human emptiness
The new bohemian wave did not initially have such a dope as the “dusty helmet commissar”. That is why they surfaced as "creative personalities" at best, thanks to youthful passions, age-related maximalism and remarkable energy. In the worst case, they penetrated the screen by any other means, trading their own shamelessness and the lowest abomination.
And thanks to the catastrophically dwindling level of education and the very atmosphere of creative emptiness, we still have the same crowd of narcissistic citizens, but only believing that Akhmatova is an Uzbek tea ceremony, and diarrhea is an ancient Greek female name. At the same time, with the same selfish fervor, all this fraternity judges with equal confidence about global warming and the conflict in Ukraine, the state economy and the war in Syria, social problems and the lawmaking process.
And all these are role-playing models of behavior for the next generation, which is in the same danger - to be fruitless and infantile. However, fortunately, the life span of new stars is no longer than the hamster's life cycle. Quickly gorging on momentary glory, the next "star" that is not part of a small post-Soviet brawl, backed up by TV and the inertia of thinking, quickly dissolves in the crowd of the so-called new wave of performers, directors and actors.
The eternal question: what to do?
Of course, the state, if it is reasonable, has always used creative citizens. For example, in order to confirm the authority of Elizabeth Tudor, whose ancestors exterminated the Yorks, the great William Shakespeare in the play “Richard III” portrayed the last York, the main character of the play Richard, an evil hunchback and tyrant, a hated people, whom he certainly was not. Of course, Shakespeare's talent is undeniable. The great ones and the great ones, that are not Vaikule and not the Basques.
In our paradoxical reality, in which the state “let go” of creative bohemia at will, but cannot in any way push it away from the budget trough, continuing to live with the same nostalgic illusions of the past, the creators serve state structures. Just no one said that these structures are Russian.
What to do? To begin with, no one bothers to vote in rubles and, finally, to develop the very immunity to the boisterous bohemian swamp. However, the most correct decision tells us the bohemian. Not so long ago, citizen Makarevich attacked the Ministry of Culture with criticism: they say he dared not allocate funding for the film about the Time Machine group, that is, in fact, about Andryusha himself. Yes, comrades, 30 years of the budget needle for a spoiled bohemia could not lead to other results.
From now on, the state, despised by the bohemian, must not only pay for that “creative” domestic surrogate, which can be enjoyed only on a moonless night, hiding from people under the bed. Now the budget is obliged to pay and the glorification of this very bohemia.
Thus, bohemia itself led us to the solution of the problem. There is no sense in a rotten and creatively empty brawl, you cannot alter the inner emptiness, there is nothing to redo. Therefore, it is much more reasonable to completely curtail ALL funding flows for any of our Bohemian projects, stop distributing millions of dollars of oxygen pillows to private television channels and provide state rooms to singing women. Let's say the words of our Western "friends": send them to the free market!
There is, of course, the risk of skipping worthwhile works, but just as a spoonful of tar spoils a barrel of honey, a spoonful of honey does not make tar smell fragrant. It is time to stop the production of state order-bearers and national actors and artists in a capitalist society in this void, so that you don’t blush for the scandalous "stars". Well, do not go before the eyes of the author of the Nightwish parade and Mylene Farmer, shining with orders of "merit". Although, in terms of creative success and fame, this does not prevent these musicians from covering home-grown performers like a bull sheep.
