Russian industry is ready to master and develop the promising production of composite materials. It became known that a large cluster for the creation of composite materials will appear in the Voronezh region. It is about the merger of two Russian companies. These are IK Maslovsky LLC (TM Lamplex Composite) and AKT LLC (Aerospace Composite Technologies).
According to the press service of the Aerospace Composite Technologies plant, the total investment in the project over the next three years will be about 5 billion rubles.
It should be noted that Aerospace Composite Technologies LLC is a joint venture uniting IK Maslovsky LLC (Voronezh region), MKTS company (Moscow region) and the German manufacturer Aerospace Composites.
From the press service:
The specialization of the future enterprise will be the production of composite structures, hulls and parts for space shuttles, frame structures, nozzle nozzles of rocket engines and other carbon fiber-based products. Voronezh production will solve strategic problems in
aviation, space, medical, automotive and other industries of the Russian Federation related to protection against possible sanction pressure.
The development of industry in the field of composite materials is a promising industry that can allow the creation of aircraft, spacecraft with unique physical characteristics. One of them: high durability of the case with reduced weight.
From the press service:
“Lamplex composite” is an innovative enterprise producing foil dielectrics, technical laminates and prepregs on high-tech European equipment of the latest generation. In July of this year, the enterprise became the first resident of the SEZ PPT Center, in whose territory the first stage of the plant is currently being completed. Commissioning of this phase will begin in the first quarter of 2020.
The site in the Voronezh region will provide the production of the main elements of the spacecraft shells “Argo” reusable. These are cargo ships. Also at the site of the Special Economic Zone near Voronezh they will create composite structures for passenger aircraft (small aircraft) NANOJET ‐ 60T ‐ Passenger, NANOJET ‐ 50T ‐ VIP, sports NANOJET ‐ NJ 20R ‐ Sport and NANOSOPTER ‐ 20H ‐ Sport helicopter.
MTKS will become the customer of Argo space trucks, and German Aerospace Composites GmbH will supply equipment for the new enterprise.
Plant General Director Vyacheslav Kursakov:
Voronezh is becoming an innovative platform for the development of the composite materials industry, which will combine the production base with scientific, technical and educational areas. In connection with the creation of a composite cluster in the region, a department of composite materials will be created at the Voronezh State Technical University. The main objectives of the cooperation will be the development of the industry for the production of composite materials and products based on them, the development of research and development infrastructure, the effective commercialization of intellectual property, and training. Students studying at the department will be able to practice at the enterprises of the cluster and apply the knowledge gained. The employees of our two factories, in turn, will teach at the new department of VSTU. The Voronezh composite cluster, which will include high-tech and innovative enterprises, will become not just a unique object of domestic industry. It will contribute to its effective development and support the import substitution policy implemented in Russia by decree of President Vladimir Putin.
