Syrian army rejoins ISIS in Palmyra

59

The Syrian government’s Arab army ran into a group of terrorists from the Islamic State (banned in Russia) east of Palmyra on Tuesday, Al-Masdar News reports.

According to a report on the territory of the province of Homs, the Syrian army managed to destroy several ISIS terrorists who were moving between the cities of Al-Sukhna and Palmira (Tadmor).

Another clash is also reported between the Syrian army and the Islamists near the Arvad dam. There is information about the victims on both sides, and also, according to unconfirmed reports, this battle led to the exit of terrorists from the area.

Following these clashes, Russian and Syrian military aircraft reportedly launched air strikes on ISIS alleged positions. Last weekend, the Syrian army also sent reinforcements to its units in the eastern part of the province.

The activation of the militants can hardly be called unexpected. Back in October, it was reported that Kurdish forces released ISIS militants held captive immediately after the start of the Turkish offensive in northern Syria. At that time, fears were expressed that this would lead to the intensification of the activities of a terrorist group in the territories previously occupied by it. In particular, in the Palmyra region this is exactly what is happening. Militants are trying to take control of an airfield located in this part of the Homs province.

It must be recalled that previously the SAA had already lost control of Tadmore (Palmyra). It was necessary to restore this control at repeated attack.

Assad's army is too small, they simply do not have enough for all tasks. Moreover, the most combat units have become very thin.
Here is such a war for starvation, for survival.
While sponsors will "feed" the barmaley, this can go on indefinitely.

It’s so, they don’t have enough time for it, so the barmalei, fed and nourished by the USA and others, climb from all the cracks.

Refugees are Sunnis and flee from the Alawites. There is a CLEANING of territories from Sunnis by Shiites / Alawites (Shabiha). ISIS is indestructible as long as there are Sunnis. They do not need to be fed, they exist because of ideology. You are in the east, not in the Urals and blame the West for the existence of ISIS is complete idiocy. The division of the Says-Pico territories and the creation of Syria, Jordan, Lebanon did not change the essence of the Arabs themselves and their division into clans and faiths. So welcome to the Middle Eastern swamp.

An ingenious thought, but what to do with the "eye"? For he does not agree with you on this point. By the way, he, unlike some here "hitting themselves in the chest," perfectly understands what is happening. The Romans seized Judea (all the Jewish territories of Samaria, Galilee ..) 200 years tolerated us with all the uprisings and in the end they drove us out and renamed the territory. It took us 2000 years to return, Assad (Alawites) has one alternative in order to survive, it is to expel the Sunnis. And you "return", brilliantly good

Not heaven, but certainly not hell!
And then you can chat about anything, dive into the history of past centuries and tell fortunes on coffee grounds ... until the arsonists rake up the grabs, there will be no peace in the BV, only violent force will rule! That's who she will be, he will win.

Shiites are not a nationality, one of the areas of Islam.
By the way, they are everywhere in the BV, where there is more, where less. By the way, the Alawites are the same Muslims, one of them.

I agree with many of what you said, but 80% are Sunnis and there is nothing to add. On whose side is the superiority without technology and the Air Force (the fact that you are there with 10 aircraft "weather" is not a fact that for a long time). The oil of Syria is in the hands of the United States (you don’t even bother there in fact (as they pushed 200, they immediately put silence), it’s only we respect you because we have small problems and our problems are not global. So the natural conditions do not quite correspond to the return of the population ( agriculture cannot be restored without technologies, you do not have them.) Well, and many other things that will not give you the opportunity to participate in cutting the dough for restoration. As you correctly expressed, "unreliable elements" will not agree to your presence. Somehow, to your regret, and ours, too, by the way (I will not explain today, but take a word).

The army is fighting on the fronts. And this is a deep rear. The desert along which the defeated gangs of igiloids roam. They are hunted, but there are so many shelters that they will hunt years after the end of the war. In the meantime, these gangs attack small convoys and posts. Plus, those have chances if it becomes very sad to leave for Iraq. A border in the desert is a very conditional thing. Tribes wander back and forth. Lost with them for a small price - a simple matter. Moreover, the local igiloids are quite local. And the area is known to both smugglers and local tribes. request
