Swiss army buys intelligence vehicles based on Eagle 6x6

Prototype BM Eagle 6x6 with a TASYS reconnaissance complex and a module with an 12,7-mm machine gun

The Swiss army will receive a reconnaissance vehicle based on the new wheeled armored vehicle (BRM) Eagle 6x6. The contract for the supply of 100 reconnaissance vehicles was concluded with General Dynamics European Land Systems-Mowag, the Swiss branch of General Dynamics Corporation.

The cost of the contract and other parameters are not reported, it is known that the supply of vehicles to the Swiss army will be made in the period from 2023 to 2025 years. It is specified that Switzerland was the first country to order these machines.

Reportedly, the Eagle 6x6 reconnaissance armored vehicle is a triaxial version of the General Dynamics European Land Systems-Mowag armored Eagle V armored vehicles with the 4x4 wheel formula with enhanced mine protection (MRAP). In the version for the Swiss army, the Eagle 6x6-based BRMs will be equipped with the TASYS reconnaissance complex, which includes reconnaissance equipment on a lifting mast and data processing equipment. To protect the crew, remotely controlled combat modules with an 12,7-mm machine gun, presumably Kongsberg Protector M151, will be installed on the BM.

It is known that the total combat mass of the Eagle 6x6 is 15 tons, the length is 7 meters. The armored car accommodates 14 people (maximum). A Cummins ISB6 E6.7 3-cylinder diesel engine with an 6,7 liter capacity and 285 horsepower combined with an Allison 5 SP 2500 automatic transmission was installed. Speed on the highway to 110 km / h, range to 700 km.

And if there is a "surprise" at the end of the wire? And somehow the shape of the nose does not contribute to the sliding of the wire. Here, something else

            Better let it explode sooner.
In general, this is a rather complicated problem, and sometimes it comes to this:

pasha hi And why should the armored personnel carrier cut the wires with its "nose"? Our BTR-152 had a folding grille.

              It is in marching condition.

This is in combat. In theory, should not catch.

Strange antennas are located at her

Doesn’t anyone bother with three meters of height for a reconnaissance vehicle? Not, if you hide it behind Mont Blanc, then of course it will be imperceptible, according to the scouts!

Primitive design based on some kind of truck. Already the layout of the wheels suggests that through the trenches and ditches it is not a rider. In general, they did not strain much when they were designed.
