The Armed Forces of Serbia will receive several Russian anti-aircraft systems of the short-range air defense system Pantsir-S before the end of this year. It is reported by Interfax, citing a source in the defense industry.
The publication reports that Serbia has concluded a contract for the supply of several Pantsir-S air defense systems, and not one, as it might have seemed from media publications. The source did not specify the exact number of machines ordered, but explained that some of them would be delivered later this year.
Under the contract, Serbia will receive several Pantsir-S complexes. Part is planned to be delivered this year.
- cites the publication of the word source.
Earlier this information was confirmed by the General Director of Rosoboronexport Alexander Mikheev, who also did not talk about the exact number of ordered cars. According to him, the delivery of the Pantsir-S air defense missile system will be made this year after the training of the Serbian military personnel for the operation of this air defense missile system is completed.
In the near future training ends, the Russian side starts deliveries
