“Some have rights, others have responsibilities”: Turkey proposed reforming the UN

48
Turkish authorities have stated that the United Nations has ceased to fulfill its core obligations in the international arena. Such a statement in Tokyo, where the meeting of the chairmen of the legislative bodies of the G20 countries takes place, was made by the speaker of the Turkish Parliament Mustafa Shentop.

According to Szentop, it is extremely important to review those mechanisms and structures of the international plan that have ceased to meet modern challenges.

The chairman of the Turkish parliament noted that today there can be no talk of any world order, because some countries “have only rights” and others “only responsibilities”.

Mustafa Sentop recalled that earlier, the Turkish president also called for UN reform. Erdogan considers it unacceptable that the largest international organization has lost all opportunity to resolve international disputes, prevent or suppress armed conflicts.

Mustafa Shentop:

The final achievement of the sustainable development goals depends on whether we recognize the fact that countries are divided into those who have exclusive rights and those who have only responsibilities.

At the same time, Szentop did not specify what exactly the Turkish authorities mean when they propose UN reform.

Earlier, Ukraine and the Baltic countries proposed to exclude Russia from the UN Security Council. Other countries proposed expanding the list of permanent members of the UN Security Council. Russia, in turn, proposed transferring several UN committees from the United States, for example, to Europe, so that the American authorities would lose the opportunity to hinder the work of the committees by issuing visas to diplomats.

The Turks began to make tricky gestures stern, feeling that the question of their legitimate presence in Syria would soon be raised? Although, the fact that the UN has become a decrepit impotent, I agree.

And I agree, and for a very long time. But to attempts to revive the "Ottoman Empire" I am much more dangerous.

This organization was created when the countries that created it were allies, and other countries of Europe and Japan were enemies. And everything went smoothly. And then the Cold War began and everything went upside down. The Korean War had already shown the failure of the UN, and then everything went on, as in any bureaucratic structure located on the territory of the "country of the Great American Lakes." Remember the massacre in Rwanda, where almost a million of the Tutsi tribe were massacred in a month, and the UN troops stood there, but they did not save a single person, and then no one perceived the UN as a lever of peace.

Excuse me, but the current UN is no different from the UN of the 70s or 80s. And it did not become a decrepit impotent, but the counterweight of the USA and NATO on the world stage, which was the USSR and the bloc of socialist states, disappeared. As for the UN reforms, I am against. For these reforms will be directed primarily against Russia.

The UN will pursue the interests of the United States and nothing more, and the rest is just the moaning of slaves, the UN only settles issues between satilites, as it were, does not allow slaves subordinates to raise their heads above what is supposed to be and not to yap!
The UN has long since outlived its authority, now it’s only an instrument of pressure on satellites and slaves by the United States and the Jewish lobby, something like this hi

Yes, it’s not very much. There, at Obama’s end, at the end of his term, some graters arose over Jewish settlements, which the mattresses seemed to call to remove, or refused to acknowledge their legitimacy, so the Israelis were offended and refused to pay any fees to some Palestinian graters committee at UN. Well, Duc Obama is now retired, and with Trump they all had a bunch, even the capital was moved to Jerusalem, despite the fact that the majority of the world community did not approve of this movement.

The BASIC drawback is that UN officials are attuned to processes, not results.
And the headquarters should be moved to Sochi, as, in due time, Stalin suggested.
In CoBez, you can enter India, which has made a big leap over the years of the UN's existence. It will become even more fun.

--- "... Russia, in turn, proposed to transfer several UN committees from the United States ..." - clearly from a state that violates the UN Charter. But this is a small, natural little step. The UN should hold an assembly about the self-assessment of its work, at least for the last ten years - examples of conflicts and the UN's reaction to them, comparing the act with the charter. The states in the UN, at present, have nothing to do, for them this is an empty place.

Nevertheless, the background is created. Here recently, Lavrov spoke out for the fact that the UN is not located there and it is necessary to change the place of its deployment. Both statements are voiced closely next to each other. And the people then, in the sense of the country, hears and shakes on the mustache.

      This is hardly an indicator.
The founders of the UN are five dozen, including the Big Five, essno.
Including the Ukrainian SSR, for example.
San Francisco Conference 1945, Conference of the 50 Founding States of the United Nations (UN). It took place from April 25 to June 26, 1945. ... who signed the United Nations Declaration of January 1, 1942 or joined it and declared war on the countries of the fascist bloc: Australia, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Czechoslovakia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, Ethiopia, Greece, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, India, Iran, Iraq, Liberia, Lebanon, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, France, El Salvador, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey, the Union of South Africa, Uruguay, Venezuela, Yugoslavia. On April 30, 1945, the conference invited the governments of the BSSR, the Ukrainian SSR, as well as ... the government of Argentina ... June 5, 1945 an invitation was sent to the government of Denmark. ... at the insistence of the USSR, the conference decided to leave in the UN Charter a place for signing by representatives of Poland (thus Poland was among the states founding the UN).
.... The basis of the draft UN Charter were adopted proposals agreed upon at the Dumbarton Oaks Conference 1944 ....

They don’t really remember. Bandera is not signed.
Nevertheless, the fact that participation in the UN institution alone does not give anything.
I did not hear, by the way, that Belarus remembered. And in general, Belarusian participation is somehow not very audible.

This long-standing govnokon conflict finally ruin Russia, or rather, the oligarchs profiting from it. So we should finally come to terms and finally recognize US dominance. The UN headquarters should be moved to the Eastern Hemisphere only because there are fewer people living in the Western Hemisphere than in Africa alone; I am already silent about Eurasia.
The content of the UN is costly, and questions regarding changes in international politics are taken overwhelmingly.
The UN Security Council is an organization of countries that are able to prevent any military conflict by the separation of the parties, and an encroachment on the decision of the Security Council or contingent simply needs to be equated with serious crimes.
The UN headquarters have no place in the United States - the main breeding ground for conflicts and contradictions.

In the new organization, the veto will be taken away from you, giving everyone the right to vote, everyone will express their opinion, vote for the opinion of the United States and all. UN reform must not be allowed. If only to transport headquarters from the USA and all. UN reform does not negate the fact that most countries depend on the United States. Meaning? For the sake of Turkey? The little girl is small ....

You will have to repeat your comment on VO several years earlier on the same topic.
After World War I, the victorious countries created the League of Nations with the supposedly good purpose of preventing the next world massacre. To prevent, with the help of international law, the nascent aggression and revanchism.
After the Second World War, the Allied countries, a year before the end of the war, attended to the creation of a new organization. Created.
I note that both times the winning countries, speaking beautiful words about international security, in turn wrote the rules of the game for themselves. And it is right. Others, if they wish to join the UN, subscribe to the created rules of the game.
Nowadays, despite the fact that the UN is dissatisfied with both the founding countries, including the Russian Federation, both the legal successors of the USSR and those that joined in the later stages, nothing can change dramatically.
Historical experience shows that the new so-called world order, write the victorious countries in world wars. Thus, in order for the UN to disappear in its place, not in Switzerland, as with the League of Nations, but not in the USA, as now, two consecutive conditions-events are necessary. World War I The second is having a winner or a coalition of winners. And only then these winners (if they will) will again write the rules of the game, of course for themselves and give birth to a new international most fair organization.
Till the end of time. Amen.
