On October 30 this year, the US Department of Defense Agency for Defense Cooperation (DSCA) sent a notice to the US Congress about the planned upcoming sale of two new Sikorsky UH-60M Black Hawk multi-purpose helicopters to Croatia. Delivery will be made as part of the American program of intergovernmental foreign military sales Foreign Military Sales (FMS). The total cost of the proposed delivery will amount to 115 million dollars.

Croatia will receive two more UH-60M helicopters of a new construction from the USA in 2020-2021 in the form of military assistance. Thus, the Croatian army will be armed with four American helicopters, which should replace the Soviet-made Mi-8 military transport helicopters, which Croatia inherited from the Yugoslav army. Earlier, the United States approved the sale of the UH-60 Black Hawk to Slovakia, Albania, Latvia and Lithuania.

UH-60 Black Hawk (Black Hawk) is a multipurpose helicopter created by the American company Sikorsky. Available with 1977 year and during this time repeatedly upgraded. Designed to transport 11 troops in full gear.

Black Hawk L has a version of DAP, aka Direct Air Penetrator, just with the same pylons as in the photo. DAP is just designed to support, generally not suitable for transportation. Used by specialists

So the Croats do not "stick their noses" anywhere, they themselves won their independence. Well, they do not want to live in one state with the Serbs. Do not want. That's all.

Under this article, it is generally doubtful whether to evaluate something from an economic point of view ... The total cost of the proposed supply of 2 helicopters will be $ 115 million. For all layouts, the cost of one is about 12 million.
