Stones and rotten fruits: frames of “wires” appeared by Kurds of the US military from Kamyshly
59
ANHA Information Service publishes some details of the withdrawal of the US military from the north-east of Syria towards the Iraqi border. The material says that US troops abandoned their base in the area of the city of El-Kamyshly, which the Syrian Kurds had previously proclaimed their capital.
Against this background, footage is published showing how the local (Kurdish) population escorts the American military, who plunged into armored vehicles and drove out of the city. In the footage you can see how on the sidelines of the roads along which the American convoy moves, people stand and throw armored cars with stones and rotten fruits.
Behind the scenes you can hear the voices of indignation of the population of El-Kamyshly. People shout that "the Americans decided to get out at a time when their help is most needed by the Kurds." People shout anti-American slogans and curses, noting that the United States threw them "face to face with the enemy."
The American media commented on these footage of "wires." On channels loyal to the Democrats, it is stated that American soldiers who are inside the armored vehicles can be sympathetic. The reports noted that they have to "pay a large image (reputation) price for Trump's nightmare decision."
Recall that earlier US Secretary of Defense Mark Esper confirmed data that the US contingent from Syria will be relocated to northwestern Iraq. When the Pentagon chief was asked what the US military would do there, Esper said: firstly, to fight ISIS (a terrorist group banned by the Russian Federation), and secondly, to help Iraqi forces defend the country's borders.
