French helicopters do not like Ukrainian generals
In 2018, Ukraine, in the person of the Minister of Internal Affairs Avakov, signed a mega-contract with Airbus for the supply of H225 and H125 helicopters. As Ukrainian media enthusiastically stated then, in this way Ukraine is getting rid of the Soviet legacy and becoming less dependent on the “Russian aggressor”. The terms of the contract provided for the supply of 55 helicopters manufactured by Airbus Helicopters (light N125 and N145 and heavy N225). At the same time, it was clarified that two models of supplied helicopters - N125 and N145 - will be from among the new machines, and N225 helicopters will be delivered from the fleet decommissioned, which will undergo necessary repairs before airworthiness.
The contract, previously named in Ukraine as a “breakthrough” to the European market, has now encountered certain difficulties. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, which concluded the contract, began to express its dissatisfaction with the condition and technical equipment of the supplied helicopters. According to the publication, "Ukrainian generals offer to review the terms of the contract." In their opinion, it is necessary to supply fewer helicopters for the same price, but with more modern equipment.

Airbus is in no hurry to meet with Ukraine, since the signed contract allows you to get rid of excess H225, which are stuck due to the bankruptcy of CHC Helicopters. As previously reported, in the person of Ukraine, the French found a buyer for most of the flightless fleet of H225 helicopters.
