Thunder-2019 Strategic Nuclear Forces Exercises Started in Russia
The Russian Thunder-2019 strategic nuclear forces exercises, which start 15 and last until October 17, are exclusively defensive in nature and are not directed against any countries. About 12 thousand military will take part in the exercises. 213 Strategic Missile Forces launchers, 105 aircraft, including five strategic missile carriers will be involved. Five nuclear submarine missile carriers and 15 ships in the Barents, Baltic, Black, Caspian and Okhotsk seas will take part in the marine component of the exercises.
