The US military is testing a new concept for the interaction of cyber units and UAV units of the Cyber Squadron Initiative.
According to the new concept, the US Air Force command plans to use special cyber groups in the mission execution area to protect the UAV from enemy influence.
In the case of successful testing of the interaction of such groups with unmanned systems, they will be given to each aircraft wing of the UAV, which is part of the US Air Force.
Recall that since May 2018 at the Polish airbase Miroslavets posted a squadron of reconnaissance and strike UAVs MQ-9 Reaper from the 52 th fighter wing of the US Air Force.
Given the fact that the best defense is an attack, the groups planned for deployment will have the ability to conduct offensive cyber operations. And if the plans outlined by Washington are realized, the arrival of “combat hackers” in Miroslavets will be the first fact of the deployment of such units at the borders of the Russian Federation.
