REFERENCE
The alliance Antonov and Volga-Dnepr has a long-term positive experience in the SALIS program. According to the agreement signed at the beginning of 2006, in performing strategic transportation in the interests of 18 program countries (Belgium, Great Britain, Hungary, Germany, Greece, Denmark, Canada, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Finland , France, the Czech Republic and Sweden) were involved up to six "Ruslans" of the combined park "Antonov" and "Volga-Dnepr".
In order to effectively interact with the customer and coordinate the work of the joint park within the program, the partners created a joint company Ruslan SALIS, based in Leipzig.
In January 2007, the base of the maintenance of these aircraft was opened at Leipzig-Halle Airport (FRG). This made it possible to reduce the time for preparation of the Ruslans for departure and to ensure the readiness of the aircraft in less than 72 hours. Thus, a reliable mechanism was created, consisting of airplanes, crews, a complex of maintenance and organization of air transportation.
