Two remarks why China is a bad example for us.

And that's not counting the "fraternal aid" to the third world countries and the so-called CMEA. And even in spite of this, grandiose structures, railways were built in the country, scientific achievements that were recognized as leading all over the world appeared. Alas, the first immortal, won the second positive, and the USSR ceased to exist.
Conclusions: First. China is catching up with developed countries, but they are unlikely to allow it to do this, because there can be only one "golden billion". Rather, the Chinese, based on their notions of well-being, will maintain the current status quo. Otherwise, popular unrest and, possibly, a revolutionary situation will inevitably arise in China. But this is unlikely. Second. It's a shame, of course, that the Chinese "consider the Russian people a failure as a people." After 1949, the USSR invested a lot in China. It is time to consider as losers those who ensured the rupture of China and Soviet Russia in the 1960s-1970s, and this was the top of the CPSU. However, we must ask ourselves, are we ready to admit Western corporations and banks to our market, and most importantly, are these corporations ready to do business with us, as in China? I think there is only one answer: NO.
