Estonia accused Russian Su-34 of violating airspace

According to the statement of the main headquarters of the Estonian Self-Defense Forces, Su-34 of the Russian Aerospace Forces, without permission entered the Estonian airspace in the vicinity of Vindloo Island and was in it for less than a minute. At the same time, the Estonian military claims that the plane flew with the transponder turned off and did not respond to calls from Estonian air traffic controllers.

A Su-34 fighter of the Russian Aerospace Forces last night without permission entered the airspace of the republic near the island of Vindloo. The plane was in Estonian airspace for less than a minute. The transponder was turned off at the Su-34, the flight plan was not presented. The aircraft did not make radio contact with the dispatching services of Estonia

- said in a statement.

According to the press service of the General Headquarters, the country's Foreign Ministry called the Russian ambassador to Estonia and handed him the corresponding note.

In turn, the Russian Ministry of Defense, commenting on this statement, refuted the statement of the Estonian side about the alleged violation of the airspace of the Baltic Republic. The military department said that the Su-34 flew to the Kaliningrad region over the neutral waters of the Baltic Sea on a pre-agreed route and liaised with ground services, including Estonian air traffic controllers.

The flight took place in strict accordance with the International Rules for the Use of Airspace, without violating the borders of other states, which is confirmed by means of objective control. ...

- declared in the Ministry of Defense.

All these are trifles. The destiny of small countries (without history) is to constantly remind myself.
The main thing in this news, the Su-34 flew to Kaliningrad. So the plans to restore the GARDEN are real and are being implemented. good Interestingly, the Su-24 will be replaced? Or is it a gain?
By the way. A couple of months ago Tu-134 UBL "Black Pearl" flew to Chkalovsk. Maybe Tu-22 M3M are also planning?

Moreover, Estonia did not even have time to raise its air force to intercept ... And all this is probably because Estonia does not have its own air force ....

We do not know about the Estonian air defense, because there is no Estonian air defense as such. There is an airspace monitoring system that silently pours data into the air defense system of western Europe, through the Lithuanian center in Zokniai to Danish Karup. There are two more divisions of "allies" fighters, in Emari and Siauliai, well, for decency. All other means for "parades".

But seriously, before the older partners in nature, Americans and Italians, offered training in their academies for pilots, for the most expensive programs. But when they saw that they themselves were not going to seriously engage in the creation of their own air force, they all cut it off for them - money down the drain, who wants to throw it away. Even if he flew into the airspace, he was there, according to Estonia, less than a minute.
Attention, a question! How could one identify in an unconscious Su-34 aircraft during this time if the transponder was turned off and no one took off to intercept?
PS: and if without raising the backside it is so easy to determine the plane, then why are the fighters being raised to intercept? recourse request

What will happen now? The arrest of the pilot? Dismissal of an air unit commander? A public apology from a Russian government spokesman? Monetary compensation from every Russian citizen to be forgiven? Is the latter the most preferable solution to the problem for Estonians? They will stop clanging their teeth for five minutes. You can also advise them to hang a netting around the airspace of their ... state - this is also a way out. The Americans can help by sensing the "wind of freedom", which must not be released from the territory of the Baltic democracy, so as not to turn it into despotism, and most importantly, from the amount of dollars that this "wind" will bring.

France, 13-14. Great Britain, 15-16. Spain + Portugal, 16-17.
