WSJ: Husites reveal Iran’s plans to attack Saudi Arabia
According to the newspaper, rebels from the Yemeni Ansar Allah (Houthi) movement allegedly announced pressure from Iran to join new attacks with missiles and drones facilities in Saudi Arabia. However, they (the Houthis) gave an unexpected answer to Tehran, saying that they were going to stop all attacks on the kingdom as part of the initiative to reach a peace settlement, and Iran's plans for new strikes on oil refineries were passed on to American and Saudi diplomats.
The publication reports that the Yemeni Hussites, who had previously fought against a coalition of Arab states led by Saudi Arabia, allegedly called on all parties to the conflict to go on to negotiations leading to "universal national reconciliation."
The newspaper sources to which it refers claim that the warning is taken seriously in Saudi Arabia and they are taking additional measures to ensure the safety of their facilities. How they reacted in the USA, they do not know.
Meanwhile, the representative of the Ansar Allah movement, Mohammed Abdel Salam, responding to a publication request, said that the Hussites of Saudi Arabia did not make any warnings and called it an “outright lie.” In turn, the leader of the Yemeni Hussites, Abdel Malek al-Khusi, threatened Saudi Arabia with “deadly attacks in the depths of the territory” if the Saudi coalition did not stop the bombing and blockade of Yemen.
