Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine fears that the West is on the way to lifting sanctions from the Russian Federation
57
The Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister expressed concern that Western countries are going to lift and / or ease the sanctions imposed on Moscow. He announced this on the air of the TV channel "UA: First".
The leaders of the Western world openly talk about the need to remove the restrictions currently imposed on the Russian Federation. This directly contradicts the position voiced the other day by Vladimir Zelensky in his keynote speech in which the Ukrainian leader called for an extension of sanctions against Moscow.
Dmitry Kuleba, who holds the post of deputy head of government of Ukraine, said that consensus on this issue has disappeared in the West. The politician emphasized that there is no longer a consensus on the "isolation" of Russia.
Western leaders have recently been openly talking about this. You saw what is happening regarding Russia's membership in G7, you see the statements of the head of a very influential European state. There are undoubtedly attempts to move in this direction. The situation is very difficult in terms of sanctions.
- emphasized Kuleba.
The proposal to return Russia to the "Big Seven" was previously voiced by French President Emmanuel Macron. His initiative is supported by American leader Donald Trump.
