India has adopted a new roadmap for the modernization of the armed forces and the procurement of new weapons for the next five years. As transmits "Warspot" referring to the portal indiatimes.com, in the near future, the Ministry of Defense of India will spend 130 billion dollars on these needs.

India increases military spending over the next five years

As early as 2016, the Indian military department adopted a program for the modernization of the country's armed forces. It was planned that over the 10 years, starting from the 2017 year and the 2027 year, the Ministry of Defense will receive 223 billion dollars for its needs. However, after two years of implementation of this program, it was decided to increase military spending. At the first stage, the Government of India will allocate 130 billion to the military for five years with plans to further increase military spending.

This decision was made against the backdrop of an increase in the military power of China and Pakistan, as well as a significant increase in Beijing's military spending, while in India they remained at about the same level.

According to plans adopted back in 2016, the armed forces of India should receive: 500 helicopters, 12 submarines, aircraft carrier, 100 single-engine and 120 twin-engine fighters. It is also planned to replace the small weapon, purchase new artillery systems and new BrahMos supersonic missiles. In addition, India intends to increase its capabilities in space.

They have little of their own, and you won’t get far on what you bought in the event of a serious conflict. At least remember the sad experience of Argentina.

Hm. They can only have a serious conflict with Pakistan. If we discard nuclear weapons, then those and others have almost the entire arsenal - bought. So who in the end will go where and where not ?! lol

Argentina had old junk breaking at every step. India has freshly acquired arsenals. The difference is somehow there.
